-the morning after-
(Jake's POV)
I never fell asleep. I was too caught up in thought to even close my eyes. I needed to know if he was just drunk or actually had feelings for me. I felt him stirring beneath me.
Was he waking up? I kind of hope that he remembers last night, but at the same time I don't. I have mixed feelings about it.
"Mmhhh..." I heard a small groan from underneath me. It was Johnnie. I guess he was waking up. Shit. What would he say? Would he even remember last night at all? He gripped onto my shoulder, pulling himself up. As he got up into a sitting position, he leaned forward, flopping his head onto my shoulder.
"Holy fuck. I'm hungover as shit." Johnnie mumbled into my shoulder. He jolted backwards, placing a hand over his mouth as he got up and ran over to the bathroom.
The door slammed shut. I heard vomiting and gagging noises. Soon after, the toilet flushed.
The door to the bathroom opened and Johnnie stepped out. "Sorry bro. I just feel like shit." He mumbled as he walked back over to the couch. He sat down right next to me. Oh shit. Shit. Shit. I'm so scared.
"Uhmmm so about last night..." I whisper softly. I need to know if he remembers or not. "Oh...." Johnnie moves away from my gaze. "I'm sorry. I know you probably didn't want me to do that, I wasn't thinking straight and-" I cut him off.
"No. It's ok. I wanted it." A sudden wave of confidence swam over me. "What? Really? I thought..." Johnnie whispered the last part.
We sat there in awkward silence for a minute.
"Well... Then, what are we?" He mumbled. I thought about it for a second.
"I guess we're boyfriends?" I replied, unsure.
Johnnie hesitated before speaking. "I-... I don't know... We like just barely kissed. I think we should wait until we at least do something official. Like going on a date or something."
"True, I guess." I muttered.
