As the sun rises over the island of Zakynthos, casting a golden glow over the coastline, I wake with a sense of anticipation tingling through my veins. The memory of Nora's soft lips against mine lingers like a sweet melody in my mind, filling me with a warmth that seems to radiate from deep within.
As I lie there, watching the soft light of dawn filter through the curtains, I can't help but replay the events of yesterday in my mind. The feel of Nora's hand in mine as we ran through the rain, the sound of her laughter mingling with the gentle patter of drops against the pavement, the moment when we finally stopped and our lips met in a kiss that felt like coming home. It's genuinely the happiest and most relaxed I have ever been.
With each passing moment, I find myself falling deeper and deeper under her spell, unable to resist the pull of her magnetic presence. But a sense of uncertainty creeps into my mind. Can our love truly withstand the challenges that lie ahead? Will we be able to navigate the twists and turns of life together, or will we ultimately be torn apart by forces beyond our control?
I push aside these doubts as best I can, choosing to focus on the present moment instead – on the warmth of Nora's body beside me and on the soft rhythm of her breathing.
I reach out to brush a strand of hair from her face, my heart overflowing with love for this woman who has captured my heart so completely. And as she stirs awake, her eyes meeting mine with a sleepy smile, I know that no matter what the future may hold, as long as we have each other, we can conquer anything.
As we get up from the bed, I can't help, but feel excitement pooling at the bottom of my body. For today, I scheduled a boat ride to the Blue Caves. When I called, the man insisted on coming with us to steer the boat, but I needed him to let me steer it on my own. Surely, I don't have a license, but I want Nora all to myself, without prying eyes looming in the background. Although I got cursed over at least three hundred times, it was worth it because I managed to get him to trust me. Note for next time? Don't anger Greek grandpas.
After a quick shower and breakfast, we step out into the warm morning breeze. Nora's hand fits perfectly in mine as we make our way towards the dock, the sun casting a warm glow over the tranquil harbor.
I steal a glance at Nora, her eyes bright and her smile infectious. She happens to be wearing a yellow swimsuit underneath a yellow and white sundress, which just so happens to be my favorite thing. God, she looks amazing in yellow. Sun-kissed skin, plump coral lips, honey-brown eyes and her yellow dress never fail to mesmerize me.
As we reach the dock, our boat awaits us, bobbing gently on the calm waters. The sight of it fills me with a sense of exhilaration, a reminder of the moments that lie ahead.
Without a word, I help Nora onto the boat, the warmth of her hand in mine sending a jolt of electricity through my veins. With a steady hand, I manage to guide the boat out of the harbor and into open water, the sea stretching out before us like a vast. I'd be surprised if I wouldn't be able to steer the boat by now due to the angry grandpa yelling at me in two different languages on how to protect and guide a boat. I've got it just fine.
Our destination is just over the horizon, a place where we can lose ourselves - or actually, where I can drown myself in her. I want to taste her, indulge her, but most importantly, devour her whole. Glancing at her, the wind makes its way through her wavy hair, leaving it slightly messy around her neck. As she takes in the breathtaking scenery, I can't help but slightly smile.
