“Carlo…”

The garden of the school is isolated kaya kaunti lang ang pumupunta at hapon na rin kaya wala na halos estudyante, it is almost five thirty.

His eyes were cold all throughout the day but he seemed more open and calm this time.

“Sorry for what happened last time…I  shouldn't judge you that way.”

Medyo nagulat ako sa mga salita niya. I didn't expect that it would turn out this way.

“Okay lang…and I should be the one apologizing.”

Umiling siya at naglakad palapit sa akin, just putting enough space between us.

His eyes became warmer and a genuine smile appeared on his lips.

“Then…are we friends again?” Nahihiya nitong tanong.

I chuckled a little bit at his remark and nodded my head which made his smile wider.

I am just so glad that we were able to settle our issues in a short amount of time.

We stayed on the benches of the garden at dahil may ilaw naman dito at hindi pa masyadong madilim.

“His parents are supporting my finances because my grandma used to be their longtime helper…and they were very kind. Kaya hindi ko rin alam kung bakit…”

He nodded his head as I narrated why I was under the roof of the Ruiz.

“So last week lang kayo nagkakilala?” He clarified.

“Yes. And we don’t really talk at home. Saka kang kami nagkikita kapag kakain na.” I reasoned out.

Muli siyang tumango sa akin. “I’m sorry again…on the way I reacted.”

I shook my head. “Understandable, wala rin kasi akong ideya na ganoon siya rito sa school.”

Tumayo siya at huminga ng malalim pagkatapos ay tumingin sa akin ng nakangiti.

“Let’s go. Ihahatid na kita at pagabi na. They might scold you at home.”

“Why?” He curiously asked.

I forgot that Amell is waiting in the parking lot. I looked at the time and it showed that it is beyond six.

“Sorry. Mauna na ako. Amell is waiting for me at the parking lot.”

I didn't wait for his response anymore and ran from our spot.

I am doomed. Pinaghintay ko siya!

Halos takbuhin ko ang parking lot and I almost lost my breath when I saw his figure near his expensive looking car that looks so different from all the other cars parked.

He was busy on his phone at habang palapit ako ng palapit ay mas lalong nagiging malinaw sa akin naiirita nitong ekspresyon sa mukha.

I felt my phone vibrate again inside my bag and saw him holding his phone near his ear. He is calling me again.

Mas lalo kong binilisan ang lakad and finally, he saw me almost running to him.

He put down his phone and cancelled the call
