i sat in hayes car, in complete silence as we scrolled on our phones.
"so what did you do in canada?"
i shrugged.
"baby, tell me." he begged.
"no."
"sunny." he dragged on.
"what?"
"what did you do?" he asked.
"nothing." i answered.
"no one runs off to canada for a weekend and does nothing."
"maybe i did. the fine art of nothing." i laughed.
he leaned back, "sunny."
"we played hockey." i said.
he eyed me, definitely questioning if i did.
"my dads a coach. we played hockey."
"i just dont believe it."
i shrugged because he'll know soon.
he shook his head, "youre such a liar."
"who knows."
he laced our fingers together and i shook my hand out of his.
"sunny."
"what?"
"i need you." he whinned
"no you dont."
he huffed, "you dont get it."
"i guess i dont."
his phone buzzed and we both looked at it as he swiped the text message away.
i rolled my eyes, wondering why the hell im still hanging out with hayes.
i should of put an end to this a while ago.
hes clearly a fuck boy and that was definitely a girl texting him named mariah.
"thats my cousin." he said.
i looked at the time.
"ive got homework so i should head home and do it." i lied, i really just need to talk to max.
"okay whatever."
"dude, whats your problem?" i questioned.
bad day at practice? missing home? team mates not like you?
"it's nothing. bye sunny." he pushed it off.
i just got out of his car and walked to mine.
his window rolled down.
"no bye, no ill see you later, no i love you?"
"bye hayes." i said getting in my car and i saw him mutter something.
i shook off the weird feeling as he drove away first.
