My day

Yes today was the day I could finally leave the foster care I woke up smiling and ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth I brushed my teeth and looked at myself in the mirror, I looked horrendous "why are you so excited?" one of my roommates asked brushing her hair in the bathroom mirror "I get out of foster care today, today is my birthday!" I said squealing

"Oh I'm so happy for you Lana unfortunately I have 2 years here  left because I'm only 16, sooo what do you plan to do when u walk out of those doors?" she said looking at me through the mirror "well Jace left me a envelope with the address of his new apartment so I guess ill walk there and meet him, its been three months so I'm so excited! " I said and she looked at me weirdly "what?" I said confused of her expression "are you sure Jace is waiting for you, I mean what if that is just a lie and he never waited for you, who knows if he's drinking tequila in bora bora right now with the money foster care gave him?" she said "I'm sure he's waiting for me he promised and said he would never abandon me like my parents did" ! said a little insecure 

"goodluck with that then" she said leaving the bathroom, I packed my bags and brushed my hair changing in to new clothes and walking out of my empty room "I'm ready" I said smiling to the guards "looking good Lana Maria! you've survived this shithole for a couple years and i'm proud of you even though I've had to yell at you a couple times were gonna miss you a lot" Jessie said hugging me "ill miss you guys too but this place absolutely not" I said making them laugh "miss Garcia here is your check, don't lose it " one of the guards said giving me the check.

I ran outside and smelled the fresh city air, I started tearing up but cleaned my tears immediately, I needed to find Jace, I saw a gas station and ran to it, I entered and asked the employee "excuse me do you know where this apartment building is? " I said "yes its right down this street, you turn to the left and its right in front" he said "okay thank you so much" I said sprinting down.

I finally found it and went inside to the front desk "excuse me ma'am uhm I'm looking for Jace Winchester, he moved here a couple months ago, can you tell me which apartment room he lives in?" I asked the lady " I'm sorry darling but all this information is confidential I cant tell you I'm so sorry" she said "I knew you were gonna say this, look I'm his best friend and we lived in a foster care, he was 3 months older than me so he got out first, I really need to find him so please help me out" I said taking a big breath because i talked to fast

"ok fine, he lived here sweetheart but he moved and I do not know where he went I'm sorry" she said and I stood there in shock "are you okay?" she said with a worried look on her face  "no uhm...... I have to go I said and walked slowly leaving the apartment building.

My roommate was right I should've never trusted him when he told me he would be here and that he would come look for me, I cant believe it "FUCK" I screamed and immediately shut my mouth when I saw that everybody was looking at me "sorry u can keep on with your life's, never heard somebody scream!" I said annoyed.
