Rain didn't question Pete's sudden change. It sounded weird at first, especially since Pete was completely against their relationship when it seemed to harm Payu at first. However Rain had to admit that it wasn't the first time Pete didn't oppose him, he still remembered his support during the dinner with the whole family. In the end, Pete's opinion wasn't so important to Rain, and so there was no reason to meditate so much on it when he had more important things to do.

Prapai took Rain's hand, he walked up the stairs and opened the door to Payu's room. Rain recognized that room and wondered why Prapai chose that one in particular. He looked at Venice's cousin confused, but before he could ask anything, Prapai already imagined his question and explained:

"From that window you will have a clear view of almost the entire garden. Payu probably won't look up here, but you better stay behind the curtains, just to avoid any problem. I'll gg downstairs now, if you see Payu entering the building, quickly run to the guest bathroom and don't leave, unless you want to meet him... of course... anyway, if that happens, I will come to take you away when the way is clear, ok?"

Rain nodded and while Prapai left, he looked at the room. Everything was exactly where he remembered. Rain slowly walked to the window, he moved the curtain a little bit just to let his eyes look outside and waited. He saw Sky, waiting under a porch, then Prapai waved and finally he spotted Payu, who was watering some plants.

His heart melted as he saw Payu looking so happy and laborious. However, the more he thought about it, the angrier he got at him. Why was he so happy? Based on those letters, he was supposed to be incredibly sad and lifeless, but there he was, active and more handsome than ever. If he was so happy, then why did he feel the urge to write those words?

As rage dominated his soul, Rain went down the stairwell and was ready to leave the house. He would have sent a message to Prapai to tell him that he left after reaching the gate. Rain didn't know that while he was so absorbed in his thoughts, Payu managed to see a strange movement behind the curtains of his room. Since it was getting really hot outside, he realized it was better to go back inside and take a shower, and there, reaching the hall to go upstairs...

"Rain..." saying his name was enough to make Rain feel his blood freeze in his veins. He gulped and turned, trying to look as calm and serious as possible. He wasn't going to let Payu's behavior slide, no matter the cost.

"Hello, Venice..." Rain responded. He never used that name with him and for some reason it felt like the best choice to keep a distance between the two of them. Payu didn't get any closer, almost as if he was scared to let what looked like an illusion disappear.

"Why are you here, Rain?"

"Isn't it obvious? I read your letters... Venice, all of them. I felt sorry for you, I thought that the worst could happen... and then I come here and see you all happy playing the little gardener!... I can't believe that I even fell for your stupid and dramatic show! Telling your cousin to burn the letters too knowing that he wouldn't have done that... how did I fall for that!?" Rain responded.
