It’s been two weeks and aaliyah just opened a new boutique in Lubbock tx, the first boutique was opened in corpus christi and aaliyah planned on opening her third boutique in Detroit
A Lot of people came for the grand opening even the D12 members showed up
Tony and Bea showed up and Dre brought his wife nicole, she was a big fan of aaliyah
“Hi everyone! I wanna thank you all for coming, i’ve been wanting to do this for so long, this is Jerry Gonzolez and Lydia Aguliar they are the designers i’ve been working with and this is Gloria Rameriz she’s my fan club president, she’s also the assistant manager so let’s get this started!”
Then aaliyah grabbed a large pair of scissors and she cute the big yellow ribbon and opened the doors to the boutique
Aaliyah had one part of her store filled with all kinds of clothing and accessories about DeShaun
Everyone got a free goodie bag, and they all got to take pictures with aaliyah and all of D12 and Royal Rivera members
Everyone had a good time, finally it was closing time and everyone was going to their hotel rooms, they were all gonna catch flights and drive back to detroit and San Antonio tomorrow
Once marshall and aaliyah got to their room, aaliyah started to pack her bags for tomorrow and marshall went to the living room to watch TV
The phone started to ring but aaliyah or marshall didn’t answer, it was gloria leaving a message
(THE VOICEMAIL)
Hey aaliyah it’s me, i wanted to let you know that the landlord found you a space in detroit in the mall so he said if you want it call him to let him know, i’ll message you his number tomorrow morning goodnight
(END OF VOICEMAIL)
Marshall was surprised that aaliyah was opening another boutique it was like after marshall came home from rehab, aaliyah was just avoiding him by always working
“Aaliyah, you’re opening another boutique?”
“Yes…i'm sorry i didn’t want you to find out like this i was gonna surprise you” aaliyah said in a soft voice
“More like you were planning in secret, Liyah you just opened a store why are you opening more!? You are always busy! Why do you do this?”
“Marshall i know what i’m doing, please just be supportive”
“I have! I’m always supportive of your dreams but when are you gonna be supportive of mine!?”
“I am supportive! Marshall, when have I not been?”
“Since i got back home from rehab, we are always doing your thing but when will i start my band up again when will i get to work on my music again? Why do you have to do so much?”
“Because what if it all stops!” aaliyah cried out as tears began to leave her eyes
“What do you mean?”
“I talked to dre about me doing an R&B pop album and he said we can start working on it, last week we let some new producers listen and they said i’m not ready, they said that i’m not good enough that i shouldn’t even be a singer, so what if i go through with this album and it fails! Then everything will be ruined and i will lose everything”
“Really? Everything?” marshall sadly asked
“You know that’s not what i meant”
“Yeah well you sure did make it sound like that” then marshall went to the bedroom and went to sleep
Aaliyah stayed up crying, she felt like no one understood her or what she was feeling, everyone was expecting her to have her whole life together
Her family, her friends, her husband, her fans all she wanted was a break, but the only thing that was gonna break was her marriage if she didn’t find a way to fix it
(THE NEXT MORNING)
Aaliyah and marshall woke up early and were having breakfast, marshall was giving aaliyah the silent treatment
“So what time are we leaving for our flight?” marshall asked
