THE INTERVIEW

Story Narrator:
Aaliyah Rivera Mathers an Mexican African American who became The Queen of R&B also known as the Princess of Rap was the most greatest celebrities in hollywood, at the age of four that's when she started to take interest in music and then at the age of 10 that's when she started to sing, aaliyah was born and raised in Fort Worth TX until she was 11 then her family moved to Gallup NM and stayed there until aaliyah turned 13, soon after her family moved to San Antonio TX, Dr.Dre signed aaliyah to Aftermath Entertainments and at 15 she won three grammys for the first time, she was a star ready to shine

She looked up to her favorite singers, Selena Quintanilla, Jody Watley, Janet and Micheal Jackson, Whitney Houston and Toni Braxton, and she was determined to make it in the hollywood world

Anthony (Tony) Rivera:
The first time i heard aaliyah sing she was only four years old and the radio was playing a song by Morris Albert called feelings and aaliyah sang so beautifully, and she sang again at ten and she sung i will always love you by dolly parton and that's when i realized that my kids have talent and i didn't wanna see it go to waste and that's when i started the band, we struggled a few years after the band was started, i called Dre and i told him about my kids so he signed us up and made sure we got some exposure, the band hit off quickly many people loved listening to aaliyah next thing i know she starts winning grammys and all kinds of other awards

Priscilla Rivera:
After the band blew up we started to get letters and packages from fans all over so my dad called Dre and he sent over some recommendations of people for the fan club manager position, we interviewed a lot of people and they were all pretty young they were mostly in their late 20s or early 30s but none of them were a good match, aaliyah wanted to hire someone who had more experience and that's when we met gloria she had be co-manager or main manager to many companies and agencies so we hired her right on the spot

Story Narrator:
Gloria and aaliyah hit it off quickly, they became very close friends and aaliyah trusted gloria with everything as the months went by aaliyah was getting more popular by the second then a certain someone came into her life

Ashlynn Grey (Rivera's Publicist):
Aaliyah was very much like her father, she had her mother's good looks but had her father's mind, she was smart, persistent, strong willed, she had a business mind and she always put her family first, Anthony was very proud of his kids, of what they accomplished and thought it would be a good idea if aaliyah started a rap album but the thing is aaliyah didn't know how to rap so Andre called Anthony telling him that he just signed two new rappers and thought they would be great for the band so dre brought them over for dinner and that's when aaliyah met marshall AKA Eminem

Anthony (Tony) Rivera:
When Dre first told me about Marshall and DeShaun i was very hesitant about having them in the band cause they were full on troublemakers and i didn't want my kids to be like that but Dre and my son convinced me to let them in so i hired them i had my son ray watch over them when i couldn't and when marshall came over i saw how he would look at aaliyah and i didn't really like that at all, i mean while i was growing up i came from the hood to and when i became a rapper i was a huge playboy i was horrible i almost lost my wife because of the way i was and i didn't want aaliyah to experience that at all

Beatrice Rivera:
When we first met Marshall he was very kind and gentle, had a great sense of humor, he was nothing like how he was on stage. It was just a fake persona. It was all an act, nothing personal, Marshall was 19 when he met Aaliyah, and she had just turned 17. Her and marshall were close as friends but all of my other daughters were convinced that something was going on between them and aaliyah would always tell them "Yeah, marshall's cute and all but i just see him at a friend that's it" and i believed her and then one day that just changed, they got closer they were very flirty and touchy with each other and i kept telling aaliyah "Be careful" because i knew her father wasn't gonna be happy that they were developing feelings for each other
