Tony called an ambulance for Marshall and they went to the hospital, bea called debbie and the others to let them know
Bea and tony had to wait in the waiting room for couple of hours, finally after a while a doctor came to talk to them
"Mr. and Mrs.Rivera?"
"Yes? That's us" tony said
"Is Marshall okay?" Bea asked the doctor gave a soft smile
"Yes, he is fine let me explained what happened before i take you to his room" so they sat down and they started to talk
"So what happened was Marshall had a stressful anxiety attack, it would've been worse if the drugs and alcohol were still strong in his system but we gave him an IV to flush out bacteria and unwanted toxins we he started to wake up he had a mental manic episode, he was yelling for Aaliyah" then the doctor paused as Bea and tony looked hurt "i do understand that you recently lost your daughter, his wife?"
"Yes we did" Tony said as he held bea's hand
"I'm very sorry, i lost my son eight years ago in a car crash" the doctor explained
"Oh...we are so sorry" bea said
"I think it's possible that Marshall might have broken heart syndrome i wanna evaluate him so i will be having a psychiatrist to consult with me to help diagnose him"
"Okay, what could have caused this?" bea asked
"Well he lost his wife recently, he has no kind of fluids or nourishment, there's only drugs and alcohol in his system, it shows that his body is mentally and physically weak. Broken Heart Syndrome is when the heart muscle becomes suddenly stunned or weakened. It mostly occurs following severe emotional or physical stress"
"Can it be cured or can you easily heal from that?" Tony asked
"The condition is temporary and most people recover within two months. He's very lucky I have lost many patients to this. I'm gonna have the best doctors help him out don't worry" the doctor said then he got up and left
After another hour the doctor came back
"So this is doctor Andrews he's psychologist that i had consult and evaluate Marshall"
"So Mr.Mathers is suffering from broken heart syndrome, his heart is very weak not to mention all the pills he's been taking i'm very worried about his health, i am suggesting and urgently warning you to get marshall help immediately, he is suicidal and is showing signs of a addict he will need therapy and maybe rehabilitation"
"Okay, can we see him?" Bea asked
"Of course" then the doctor walked bea and tony to marshall's room, he was finally awake
His eyes were red and puffy he looked so weak
"Hey" bea said softly
"How are you feeling?" Tony asked
"'Like crap, i'm ready to go back home" marshall said
The doctors stood by the door waiting for the right moment to break the news to marshall
"Look marshall we need to talk to you" tony said
"What about?" marshall asked
"The doctor did some test on you and they believe that you have broken heart syndrome and they think it's best that you go back to rehab and also start therapy" bea explained
"What? No! No man, I'm not going back there!" Marshall shouted
"Mr.Mathers you need help, your wife would not want this for you" doctor andrews said
