The team settled into their woodland campsite as dusk descended, the flickering flames of their fire casting dancing shadows among the trees. King Bumi, ever the provider, rustled up a simple yet satisfying dinner, consisting of humble fare like packaged tuna and crisp lettuce leaves. As they savoured their meal, plans began to take shape for the evening ahead.

With the meal finished, Kireina seized Aang by the arm, her eyes gleaming with determination. "Come, Aang, let's start our energybending training," she proposed, leading him to a nearby clearing where the trees allowed oranges of sunlight to filter through. "There's so much to explore within this bending art, particularly in the different forms of energybending. Soul, light, shadow, gravity, mind, and stormbending offer a rich tapestry of power and knowledge."

Aang's expression brightened with understanding, recalling the gravitybending feat Kireina had displayed earlier. "Wasn't gravitybending the force that drew and repelled Bumi?" he questioned, his excitement palpable.

"That's correct, my young pupil," Kireina affirmed with a playful pat on Aang's head, eliciting a mock pout from the young Airbender. Despite standing just an inch taller than him, she still had the upper hand in their height, at least for now. "Gravitybending, as you witnessed, is a formidable art, offering the strength of a thousand Airbenders in its push and pull." She chuckled at Aang's awe-filled expression, relishing in his admiration. "But if gravitybending is the thunder, then stormbending is the lightning—the pinnacle of bending mastery. Legends in the textbooks from the Southern Air Temple library have it that Ransu Kunchen wielded the power of stormbending to shatter mountains, destroy civilization, and even end a war on her own."

Aang's features tensed slightly at the mention of warfare and its toll, a reminder of the somber realities lurking beyond their training sessions. He understood the scale of Kireina's commitment to duty compared to her principles, yet couldn't shake the feeling that there must be a balance between responsibility and personal conviction.

"Since stormbending requires mastery over the four main elements prior to unlocking it, we will start with the basics," Kireina resumed, her tone shifting to one of focused instruction as she delved into the intricacies of lightbending. "Lightbending offers the wielder the ability to manipulate the colour spectrum, rendering objects or areas invisible. It demands unwavering concentration and skill, often serving as a bridge between firebending and more advanced techniques. However, in most cases, they do not require firebending."

Aang's eyes lit up with enthusiasm at the prospect of mastering this new skill. "Perhaps Yun could join us in our training on lightbending," he suggested eagerly, already envisioning the possibilities of their combined efforts.
