Hello, Readers,
Welcome to "Clash Of Possession," my newest Naruhina fanfic—quite a surprise, huh? It's been years since I've posted an actual Naruhina story, but rest assured, you can expect to see more fresh content from me later this year and beyond. Hope you're all ready for it!
I like to keep things interesting by occasionally springing unexpected surprises on you all, haha! I have to be honest, however. This writing project is unlike anything I've ever written before.
Originally, I crafted "Clash Of Possession" for the "Naruhina Month 2023" Tumblr event, which took place back in December of last year.
The Prompt:
Day 4: Yakuza AU Day 17: Evil AU
I know, it's 2024 now, so this prompt is a bit overdue, but I couldn't abandon the idea for this fanfic or the few remaining one-shots I had planned for the event.
You'll understand why.
When I was brainstorming for this prompt, I debated whether to keep it as a one-shot or expand it into a full-fledged fanfic. Ultimately, I opted for the latter due to its length and the extensive effort and research I poured into it.
So, yeah, it's pretty lengthy-enough to be divided into different parts and developed into a complete fanfic. I decided to give it the full attention it deserves and make it a stand alone fic, instead of just being stashed in my "Kiss me, Thrill Me" smut collection like all of my other Naruhina Month23 oneshots were.
This fanfic is no ordinary smut story.
Despite being a Yakuza story, "Clash Of Possession" differs significantly from my other mafia-based fanfic, "A Crazy Accident."
With this fanfic, I aimed to step outside my comfort zone and delve deeper into both the Yakuza world and the shinobi realm of Naruto: the anime.
I realized I hadn't fully explored the Naruto universe in my writing as much as I wanted to. Plus, my recent fascination with Japanese culture fueled my desire to delve into this realm further, and I felt this was my chance to do so.
And let me tell you, I've created something that even surprises myself.
It took me about two/three months to complete this writing project, juggling college, personal matters, and health issues along the way. But hey, I finally finished it, and the sense of relief is indescribable.
