By morning, the scouts were already driven to Forest Scouts.

By now, Xavier had forgotten about yesterday and sat outside The Stump with Craig once again. Yet he noticed Craig was acting…A certain kind of way.

There outside The Stump was Craig face down, using the ground as a pillow to scream in while punching it rapidly.

Xavier had made his decision to leave Craig alone a while ago, so he sat in his same spot reading the Slide the Ferret comic Kelsey was nagging him to put down to help them get Craig to stop screaming.

“Nuh uh”

“You can put that comic down for just a second!”

“He'll stop eventually.”

“It's been five minutes!”

“Wait it out.”

“That's easy for you to say. You probably have some weird noise canceling technology that makes this tolerable!”

“I don't, but okay.”

Jp then stepped into the conversation.

“Xavierrrr! You try talking to him. You were with him yesterday!”

“Jp, are you saying this is my fault?”

“What?! No! Stay on topic!”

Xavier gave a light groan and finally put the comic book down. “Fine, now shoo he probably needs space.”

Kelsey gave a final glare to Xavier before going inside The Stump with Jp.

Xavier turned around to Craig. He noticed Craig's screams died down a little. Though Craig seemed panicked.

Xavier crouched down beside Craig, “Hey, you're really worrying your friends there and they're not letting me read my comic, did something happen when you went off to Jason's house?”

Growing tired, Xavier forced Craig onto his back.

Craig let out a groan while covering his face, “Yeah…”

“What happened? Did you embarrass yourself? You do that all the time, it's nothing new.” Xavier teased the boy to lighten the mood.

“Hey!” Craig finally started sitting up and stopped covering his face, he didn’t look panicked, only offended.

“Kidding. But what happened, you couldn’t have messed up that bad.”

“I think I did…Well, I was walking Jason to Tony's house and before he went inside I uh…I kissed his cheek…”

“Huh, finally. Was that all?”

“Yeah…But I ran off like an idiot!”

“You did better than me honestly…”

Craig then sighed and put his knees to his chest, “I really like him, Xavier…But what if that made him not like me.”

Xavier then started crouching and sat next to Craig, “Craig, you're overthinking it. Once Jason gets back from his trip, you can ask him yourself.”

Craig then sighed and plopped down on  his back. Maybe Jason was telling Tony and Boris all about the kiss, or was still thinking about it. But whatever was happening, Craig will just have to wait it out.

Tony rolled down the window of the car and let the air in, after being ignored by Candice to turn on the air conditioning. Tony sat on his knees to get a better look out the window, “Tony, were you raised by monkeys? Sit down!”
