Confusion and disbelief evident in the eyes of the four alphas standing before me—Derrick, Jack, Asha and Adrian.

"Mates?" I repeated, the word feeling foreign and surreal on my tongue. "But that's... impossible."

Derrick, his usually stern countenance softened by a hint of bewilderment, stepped forward, his gaze searching mine for answers. "We've all felt it," he said, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "The bond that connects us to you. It's... inexplicable."

Jack nodded in agreement, his expression earnest. "We've been searching for answers," he admitted. "Trying to understand how this could be possible ever since yesterday."

Adrian remained silent, his golden eyes fixed on me with a mixture of intensity and longing that sent a shiver down my spine.

I felt a surge of panic rising within me at their words, the weight of their expectations pressing down upon me like a suffocating blanket. How could this be happening? And what did it mean for my future?

"I don't know what to say," I confessed, my voice barely above a whisper. "I'm just as confused as you are."

Asher, sensing my distress, stepped forward, his presence a calming influence amidst the chaos. "We'll figure this out together," he said, his voice steady and reassuring. "Whatever challenges may lie ahead, we'll face them together."

I looked into Asher's eyes, finding solace in the unwavering strength and determination reflected there. Despite the uncertainty of our circumstances, I knew that with him by my side, I could find the courage to confront whatever fate had in store for us.

Taking a deep breath, I squared my shoulders and turned to face the other alphas, my expression resolute. "Alright," I said, my voice steady with determination. "Let's find some answers."

"....there is a legend that has been passed down through generations in our packs—a legend of an Alpha Queen who once ruled over all four packs."Adrian began, his voice grave and solemn.

"She was said to be the most powerful werewolf of her time," Adrian continued, his gaze intense and unwavering. "And she was the only one ever known to have four mates—alphas from each of the four packs."

Derrick, Jack, and Asher exchanged looks of astonishment, their expressions mirroring my own incredulity at the revelation. Could it be possible that I was somehow connected to this legendary figure from the past?

Adrian's eyes met mine, a flicker of uncertainty dancing in their depths. "I'm not saying that you're her reincarnation or anything like that," he clarified hastily. "But the fact that all four of us feel this bond with you—it's... unprecedented."

I swallowed hard, the gravity of Adrian's words sinking in as I struggled to come to terms with the enormity of what he was suggesting. Could it be that I was destined to follow in the footsteps of this legendary Alpha Queen, leading all four packs to greatness?

As Adrian's revelation settled over us like a heavy fog, I felt a surge of emotion rising within me, threatening to overwhelm my already frayed nerves. The weight of their expectations, coupled with the weight of the ancient legend hanging over our heads, felt like too much to bear.

"I'm not a queen," I blurted out, my voice tinged with frustration and uncertainty. "I'm just... Luna. An alpha who lost everything."

The words came out in a rush, a desperate plea to be seen and understood for who I truly was—a lone wolf grappling with the burden of her past and the uncertainty of her future.

Derrick, Jack, and Asher exchanged glances, their expressions a mixture of concern and empathy as they took in my words. Even Adrian, usually so composed and confident, seemed taken aback by my admission.
