The two enter the apartment

Sonic pushed shadow into the now shut door amd locked it reached his arm in between shadows arm and his waist

Shadow swallowed hard as he was basically being pushed up against the door

Hearing the lock click made him nervous as he couldn't read Sonic's intentions

Hands pressed into the door trapping shadow in one spot as his head hung down for a long moment not making eye contact.

Shadow started to sweat in anxiousness only to be surprised with a weighted hug

Sonic embraced him tight gripping the back of his shirt with with his claws, pressing him into the wood of the door

Sonic started to wail into shadows chest, Shadow could feel the wetness of his tears soak his shirt

He returned the hug and rubbed the back of his head for comfort

"H-hey what's wrong..?"

Shadow taken by complete surprise didn't know how to handle this situation very well

"I-" *sniff* "I just" *hic*

"Woah woah.. hey take it easy let's talk on the couch.."

Shadow walked him over to the couch to give him a moment to collect himself

They sat on the couch close to one another, Shadow was ready to listen to him with an open mind as he gently rubbed his back

Sonics elbows rested on his knees and his face in his palms as tears still streamed down his face

"Hey take a deep breath okay.."

Sonic looked up from his hands breathing to calm himself down for a moment from his hysteria

"Shadow.. I like you so much..!"

The dark hedgehog felt bad knowing that he had probably been making Sonic feel like this a lot recently

"Why are you upset? You already know I like you too.."

"I'm sorry for feeling so ashamed to be with you I tried so hard today for us to just make up and pretend we're nothing more but I've liked you for so long now and I just don't want to lose you.!"

Shadow held sonics face in his hands using his thumbs to wipe his tears as more rolled down from his eyes

"You're not going to lose me..I never wanted to leave you. I was upset towards you because I was so worried you were gonna accuse me of taking advantage of you that night"

No ! I would never do that to you I just felt disgusted in myself! I've never felt so good that night with anyone else and I'm afraid to express that to the world.. to express that I'm interested in men. I just dont want to get made fun of.. I'm only a sophomore dude I have like 2 1/2 years of torture if the frat finds out!"

"Sonic those jocky assholes are all talk when they crack jokes at gay people, they all give eachother blowies after every football game"

Sonic laughed to himself

"Cmon be serious shads.."

He smiled as he wiped his eyes

"No I'm so serious those guys have to be the gayest people on campus I'm not talkin just bj's and handy's man, they all take turns sliding in and out of eachother but yet they refuse to kiss cause that's wayy too gay"

They both shared a good belly laugh together

"Hey but in all seriousness Sonic.. I love you and no one is going to make fun of us if we decided to be together, and if they do we can both kick their ass"

"Thanks Shadow.. I really needed that.. sorry I got your shirt all wet"

"Aw it's ok I have so many just like this one... I only have one of you though"

Shadow said sweetly as he landed a peck to Sonics forehead

"God you're so corny"

Giggled Sonic whiping what was left of his tears from his cheeks

"Yeah but would you really be here right now if you weren't into it?"

Shadow said smugly wrapping Sonic in his arms for a long embrace

"Heh shut up faker"

Sonic melted into shadows hug feeling safe and reassured

"Hey Shads if it's okay with you.. could this be all that happens tonight?"

"What did you take me for?? This thing goes both ways yknow"

"No I know I just felt bad if you wanted to-"

Shadow put a finger to his lips to cut him off before trailing his hand through his spikes to cup his face

"I only want to when you're ready, i'll see myself out"

Sonic looked up at him with a fluttered smile before walking him to the door

The two reach shadows bike and hug for a prolonged amount of time once more

"I'll see you tomorrow?"

Sonic looked up at him as he looked down both nose to nose

"Of course you will"

Shadow smiled before planting a kiss on his nose, breaking the hug to get on his bike

Sonic felt his cheeks flush and waved him off as he walked to the door

The engine roared just as an important question came across Sonics mind

"HEY WAIT DOES THIS MEAN WERE OFFICIAL?!"

Yelled Sonic but the loud engine and Shadows helmet on made him certain he didn't hear him before he zoomed away

Sonic entered his home and got changed to go to bed

He lay on his mattress thinking of the dark quilled hedgehog once more, letting his mind race as he held himself

*Bvvv bvvv*

A text from shadow

"Yeah we're long overdue blue"

He felt his heart race with a bite of his lip as he replied

"Yeah, I think so too <3"

Sonic smiled big, hugging his pillow excitedly, unsure if he would be able to sleep tonight

He couldn't wait to see him tomorrow
