Dandy traced the icy, cold blade of his knife up and down my body, threatening to delve deeper whenever I tensed up. The dried blood from our previous bath coated most of my body, and was beginning to leave a foul odor in the room.

"Lucy, Lucy, Lucy. I'm afraid there's no getting out of this, this time." He was smiling, but it was unlike any look I'd ever witnessed before.

This man truly wanted nothing more than to see my body go limp and to watch the life drain from my eyes.

At the same time, I couldn't help but feel like the sane Dandy, or the little sanity he had left, was begging to spare me. Unfortunately for me, insanity won over him.

The blade that was wrapped around his fingers was now carving inside of me. I was too scared to look down at the bloody mess that was covering my stomach. What if he began to carve too deep?

By the point, I was already crying, now bawling. I couldn't scream, the never-ending, excruciating pain stopped me from being able to. Hot tears were all over my face, even slightly blurring my vision.

But I could make out the sounds of Dandy crying. I didn't have much empathy for him at the moment, after my stomach being sliced up quite a bit.

"Why? Why couldn't you just have loved me? Don't you think it fucking hurts to see you like this? I wish I wasn't like this, Lucy. From the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you were what I wanted. But you don't feel the same. Now, you need to know my pain."

After that, I had lost so much blood I wasn't really sure what was going on around me. I could feel more slicing in various places. A few slits on my arm, even more on my legs.

Strangely enough, I was almost numb to the pain. I felt my body was surrounded by fluids, but I was too out of it to notice the substance was my own blood.

As more of the Crimson liquid poured out of my body, I felt completely tranquil and began to long to fall asleep.

And so I did.

Standing up after letting his wild side out to play, Dandy glanced down at Lucy, her eyes faintly open and her breaths becoming more shallow.

Then, reality hit him. Lucy was dying, and it had been by his own hands. He stared at the mess around her, blood still spilling out of her body. Suddenly, he couldn't remember why he had lashed out at her like he did. Every thought he had up to this moment had vanished his mind.

Staring at his reflection in the mirror, he studied his own blood-stained clothing, tresses of chocolate brown hair swooping onto his face. He knew what he had to do. She couldn't die on him like this, and he had to make certain nothing like this would ever happen again.

He had to let her go.

After rushingly making himself presentable enough to go out into public, he wrapped Lucy's unconscious body in the already bloodied sheets, then carrying her bridal style to the passenger seat of his car.

Speeding through the backstreets to the Jupiter Health Center, his once neatly combed hair had now fallen all over the place. And when he would occasionally glance at Lucy's limp body, he could almost sense how relieving the wind felt on her smooth, pale skin. All he could think of the entire ride was how much of an angel she was.

He was finally able to find a suitable parking space, and once he did he nearly toppled over trying to rush to the passenger seat. Carrying her delicate frame in his arms, he knocked down the front doors to the building, desperately searching for medical staff. Finally, he came across a plain looking nurse with a mundane look plastered on her face.

"Nurse, I'm in need of your assistance! This girl, I found her left for dead... On the side of the road. She looks like she's bleeding out," before he could finish, she was rudely cut off by the nurse squealing from shock, gathering attention from another nurse.

Quickly, the two nurses placed Lucy onto a gurney, wheeling her away into the emergency room. Dandy watched them take her away until she was completely out of his vision. He sighed, for the first time his heart deeply full of regret.

"I'm sorry, Lucy. I promise I'll let you go now so I can't hurt you anymore." He whispered before turning around, and exiting the hospital.
