(The Next Day)

Y/N's POV

So, Tara and myself are still in the hospital but luckily we're okay.

Sam also called me back. It was an awkward conversation but she's gonna be here soon.

Against doctors orders, I got dressed then I head to Tara's room.

I knock on the open door.

I see Tara lying in her bed.

She looks to me.

Y/N: Hey, how you feeling?

Tara: I'm doing okay. How are you?

Y/N: Back's a little sore, but I'll live.

I come inside.

Y/N: Sam'll be here soon.

She raises a brow.

Tara: How do you know that?

I rub the back of my neck.

Y/N: I called her.

Tara: Wow.

Y/N: What?

Tara: Nothing, I'm just.... I'm surprised.

Y/N: So was I.

Tara: So, she's on her way?

Y/N: That's what she says.

Tara: She's probably lying.

Y/N: She'll be here, Tara.

Tara: How can you say that after what happened between you two?

Y/N: I trust her.

I go over and put my hand on her shoulder.

Y/N: She'll be here.

She nods.

Y/N: I've gotta head home but I'll be back. Is there anything you'd like me to grab for you?

Tara: My laptop, please and maybe a few magazines.

I smile.

Y/N: You got it. I'll be back soon.

I turn and go over to the door.

Tara calls out to me.

Tara: Y/N.

I look back to her.

Y/N: Yeah?

Tara: Thank you for saving me.

Y/N: You're welcome.

I walk out of her room and close the door.

Luckily two cops are sitting outside her door at all times.

She'll be okay, I know it.

(One Hour Later)

So I've just gotten home after taking a cab.

I see a bunch of cops in front of my house.

Y/N: What the fuck?

I get out and head up to the house.

Sheriff Hicks comes outside.

Y/N: What the hell is going on here?

Judy: We're searching the house.

Y/N: You can't do this.

She pulls out a warrant.

Judy: Warrant says I can.

Y/N: What are you hoping to find? A murder weapon?

Judy: Look, Y/N, the faster you cooperate with us, the faster we find out the truth

I scoff.

Y/N: While you're here, going through my house, there's an actual killer out there...Sheriff.

Judy: Y/N, I'm sorry.

Just then a cop comes outside.

Cop: Sheriff, you're gonna wanna see this.

Y/N: See what?

Sheriff Hicks and I follow him upstairs into my room.

Judy: Show me.

He opens the door and we see a ghostface costume along with a knife, cell phone and voice modulator.

Y/N: Ah, crap.

Judy turns to me and pulls her gun out.

Judy: Y/N, on your knees and hands on your head.

I raise my hands.

Y/N: Sheriff, can't you see what this looks like. I'm being framed, you know it. If I was the killer, do you really think I had time to come back home, plant this evidence and make it back to Tara's before the cops arrived? You gotta think clearly.

Judy: I can't just not believe the evidence. Now down on your knees and hands over your head.

There's no use. They've already claimed I'm guilty.

I get down on my knees and put my hands on my head.

The cop comes over and puts me in handcuffs.

Judy: Y/N L/N, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

We start to head downstairs.

Judy: You have the right to an attorney.

Y/N: Seriously, Judy? You know I'm innocent. You've known my family my whole life, you know me. Do you really think that I could be the killer? It's too easy, just trust your gut.

She pauses for a moment.

Judy: If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you.

After she finishes, I'm put in the back of the police car.

Judy then tells the officer who handcuffed me, that she'd take me to the station.

(Twenty Minutes Later)

After a twenty minute drive, we stop in front of the hospital.

Y/N: What's going on?

Judy gets out of the car.

She comes around and opens the door.

Judy: Come on.

I get out of the car and she takes the cuffs of my wrists.

Y/N: What are you doing?

Judy: I thought about what you said. You were right. It was too easy and I've come to learn that these ghostface killings are never easy.

I turn to her as I rub my wrists.

Y/N: Thank you, Judy.

Judy: If someone is framing you, Y/N. Then it's gotta be someone close to you. Someone who knows you. So please just be careful until we figure it out.

I nod.

Y/N: Thank you, Judy.

Judy: Tell Tara I said hi.

Y/N: I will.

After this, I head up to Tara's room.

I'm just glad that Judy believes me.

It just makes me wonder who's framing me and why.
