𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟏, 𝟏𝟕:𝟒𝟐 𝐞𝐝𝐭
"𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐓𝐖𝐎 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄!" Jace told Halo and Brion as she was getting their picture. Lily smiled as she remembered her first Halloween party from when she had dressed up as a pirate. Billy looked towards her with a smile of his own.
"Watcha thinking about?" He asked her quietly.
"First Halloween," Lily replied.
"Hm. We should watch Hocus Pocus again. And stuff our faces with popcorn and candy like ten-year-old kids," Billy suggested.
"I think we've come a long way since we were ten. But that sounds perfect."
"I thought we were supposed to be scary," Violet said with a confused look.
"We're scary enough," Brion told her. "I'm the inside."
"Ah, yes. We're freaks. Can we get a picture with all the freaks?" Violet asked Jace.
"Of course. Gather around, everyone," Jace replied with a smile. Fred shrugged Victor with an excited expression.
"Fred Bugg is ready for the Happy Harbor High School Halloween Dance," He said with a bright smile.
"No costume? I'm sure I could scrounge something up for you if you want, Fred," Lily told him.
"No need. Fred Bugg's thought long and hard about Fred Bugg's Halloween costume..." Fred took off the glamour charm, turning to his usual bug-self. "...and Fred Bugg believes Froager is the perfect Halloween costume for Fred Bugg."
"Crash," Lily replied with a smile.
"And your shell's healing nicely," Violet acknowledged. "No costume, Victor?"
"I don't even know how you guys talked me into going to this thing," Victor replied. Lily had noticed how withdrawn he was from the group in the short time she had known him.
"Forager understands Victor Stone won't know any of the other teens, but-"
"That's the saving grace. I can be a stranger crushin' a costume and not an alien metal freak." Forager was about to say something in response, but Victor stopped him. "I know, I know. Being a freak's a good thing."
"And the Halloween dance will be good fun," Violet added. "Lily has told me of her experience at the dance."
"Halloween's canceled," Dick announced, walking up to the group. Lily gave him a questioning look, but he looked to be in a hurry. "Sorry guys, we're going to Greater Bialya and we're going now. We have a solid lead on Tara Markov."
"I'm ready," Brion told him, burning the paint from his face.
"So am I," Violet agreed. "Though I would prefer to change into my Halo clothes first."
