Chapter 7: The Keeper of the Keys

The Hut on the Rock, Cokeworth, England
July 30th 1991
11:59PM

It was a dark and stormy night inside the Hut on the waters near Cokeworth, Henry's aunt and uncle were sleeping upstairs, Dudley was sleeping on the couch and he was lying on the floor drawing a birthday cake on the dusty floor, Harry's 11th birthday was in 30 seconds, he usually would celebrate his birthday with Henry and his family, but unfortunately after the incident at the zoo a couple of weeks earlier he was forbidden from leaving the house and during those weeks he had been getting letters addressed to him but his aunt and uncle refused to let him read them, they tried everything to get rid of these letters, they tore them up, nailed shut the letter box and even burnt them but they just kept coming, they eventually couldn't take it anymore so they went far away to get away from whoever sent these letters.

Harry finished drawing his birthday cake he looked at Dudley's digital watch and it was now midnight which meant it was now his birthday.

Make a wish, Harry he said to himself

Harry then blew out his makeshift candles, his birthday wish was one thing, leave The Dursleys, see his friend Henry again and most of all have a real family, then suddenly he heard a loud knocking on the door which woke up his cousin and he backed away startled by the noise, Petunia and Vernon came downstairs with Vernon brandishing a shotgun scared out his wits.

Who's there? Vernon said in a scared voice

Then suddenly the door came off it's hinges and fell to the ground, this caused everyone minus Harry to scream in fear, then suddenly out of the rain and thunder entered a giant of a man inside the house, it was Rubeus Hagrid.

Sorry about that said Hagrid apologizing about the door

Then The Dursleys found out that he wasn't alone as Hagrid's son Braxton entered the house, along with Wendy and Oliver and their nephew Henry, after everyone was inside Hagrid then lifted the door up from the ground and put in back into place

I've got a hand to you Vernon, you do know where to where pick your spots said Oliver

I demand you all leave at once, you are breaking and entering!! Vernon shouted

Hagrid then approached the Dursleys who were both scared of their wits

Dry up Dursley, you great prune! said Hagrid

Hagrid using his bare hand then bent the barrel of the gun and it fired startling everyone, he then turned his attention to Dudley

Boy, I haven't seen you since you was a baby Harry, but you're a bit more along than I would've expected particularly right in the middle said Hagrid

I-I'm not, I'm not Harry Dudley stammered scared by the sight of this giant of a man

I am said Harry revealing himself

Well of course you are, oh before I forget there's someone here who wants to yeh said Hagrid

Harry then saw his best friend Henry and his family he then straight to them and gave all a hug so happy to see them all again after many weeks

It's so great to see you again, I've missed you said Harry

I've missed you too, Trotter Potter said Henry

Trotter Potter?!, wait you two know each other?! Vernon yelled

Shut It, Dursley! yelled Wendy
