San

San stood at the stove, stirring the bubbling pot of spaghetti sauce as he tried to focus on dinner preparation.

Meanwhile, Mingi perched himself on the kitchen counter, swinging his legs back and forth as he scrolled through his phone absentmindedly.

The apartment was filled with the comforting aroma of garlic and tomatoes, but San's mind was preoccupied with a different matter altogether.

"I don't get why you don't just ask him out," San said, his frustration evident in his voice as he glanced over at Mingi.

Mingi let out a sigh, his gaze still fixed on his phone screen, "San, he's straight," he replied, his tone resigned.

"Mingi, you're stupid," San shot back, "Just because he's never said he's into guys doesn't mean he's straight. You never know until you ask."

The younger rolled his eyes, setting his phone down on the counter.

"Easy for you to say," he muttered, his shoulders slumping in defeat. "You've never had to deal with this kind of stuff."

San paused in his cooking, turning to face his friend "Bro"

You can't be serious.

"I'm openly gay. Yes I had"

"You don't count...You're like... Un-rejectable"

A grin spread on San's face.

"But you'll never know if you don't try. And who knows? Maybe he's been waiting for you to make the first move all this time."

Mingi let out a frustrated groan, running a hand through his hair in agitation. "But what if he rejects me?" he asked, his voice laced with uncertainty.

San shook his head, crossing the kitchen to stand in front of the other.

"Then you'll know, and you can move on," he said, his tone gentle but firm, "But you'll never forgive yourself if you don't at least try."

The youngers eyes met San's, searching for reassurance in his friend's gaze.

After a moment of silence, he let out a resigned sigh, nodding in reluctant agreement. "Fine," he relented, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'll ask him out."

"Oh man, I really hope you do because that guy is totally in lo-"

"If it's a double date with you and your dude"

"..."

"..."

"I don't have a dude?"

"I know"

San raised an eyebrow.

"Well then how am I supposed to-"

"Just- Agh, I don't know, hyung", Mingi groaned before dropping his head onto the counter dramatically, "I don't wanna go without you! You're like a 'gay icon' or something. I've never even fucked a guy! I really don't want a dick up my ass, hyung! I really don't! Am I even a real gay??"

San stared at his friend with a blank expression.

He can't be serious.

"Uhm... I don't have dicks up my ass as well... Does that make me straight or-?"

"You don't?", Mingi lifted his head, eyes lighting up.

San couldn't help but burst into laughter as he turned back around to focus on their food, "You should google 'Top and Bottom', bro. If you don't want to get your ass fucked, maybe you wanna fuck someone's ass? And if you don't want any of that, that's fine as well. Maybe you're just not into that sexual thing.. Doesn't mean you're straight"
