Chapter 4.1 : Just Friends?

1 week later...
7am, The Rescuers HQ...

The lucario and Midnight are walking down the hallway

Lucario: (happy) Midnight, your rankings are going so fast up.
Midnight: Well I'm here mostly for money.
Lucario: You know that's not true.
Midnight: (annoyed) You know I don't wanna talk about it.
Lucario: Ok but I want you to meet someone then come back to meet your new teammates.
Midnight: Fine.
Lucario: Let me introduce you our scientist Doc. Robert Jn.

The door opens showing a lab with a Luxray working on something.

Lucario: *coughs* Uhm Doc.?
Doc. Robert: Oh. Yeah?
Lucario: So basicly I wanted you to meet someone. This is Midnight, one of the newest rescuers. He actually ranked up very start in only 5 weeks.
Doc. Robert: Really, that's impressive. The last one who did it so fast was a friend of mine.
Midnight: Thank you. I kind of had a rough life but I was teached how to fight.
Doc. Robert: Oh really, then let's talk later.
Midnight: (surprised) Oh... ok Doc.
Doc. Robert: Call me Trace.
Midnight: Ok... Trace.
Lucario: Midnight come with me now.
Midnight: Coming!

After they leave Trace looks at the ceiling.

Trace: He truly reminds me of you... Speed.

Back to the Lucario and Midnight.

Lucario: I want you to meet some of the rescuers who joined around the same time like you did.
Midnight: Okay.
Lucario: The first one is Rebeca...

When he said that the door opened showing a Cinderace which then jumped and started kicking into the air.
After that he has shown another ones like an growlithe, a zorua and then a vaporeon came oht but he was the guy from television he was watching.

Midnight: Wait.... It's you
Leo: (nervous) What do you mean its me?
Midnight: I saw you from the race where you won.
Leo: Oh. Then a pleasure to meet a fan, do you want an autograph?
Midnight: No. Actually yeah. Write it on this.

He gives him a romance book to Leo and signs it then gives it back to him.

Midnight: So I have to work with you now
Leo: Come on it will be fine. Didn't you see how fast I am.
Midnight: Ok (looks at the time) I need to get home fast now. Cya Sir.
Lucario: Cya. Ok, now let's get started
Everyone else: Yes, sir

(Back at the house)

Midnight tries to sneak down the house but when he opens the door he is gretted by someone who wasn't happy to see.

Pearl: So why are you up at this point in time?
Midnight: I wanted to get a nice walk you know.
Pearl: I know you're lying but next time don't sneak out the house
Midnight: (annoyed) Why do you have to be so over protective over me?

Before Pearl could answer the question Midnight interupts.

Midnight: Anyway, I will have a shower now.

Midnight finishes his shower but then when he finishes he looks for something.

Midnight: Pearl!
Pearl: Yeah?
Midnight: Where are my yellow towels
Pearl: I think they are still being cleaned, why?
Midnight: Did you really forget?
Pearl: (remembers) Oh that thing.
Midnight: Yeah. So what am I going to do?
Pearl: Just use the white towels.
Midnight: Fine

Midnight takes a white towel and when he throws it away you can see that the towel is a little yellow. Then Midnight takes out of the drawer some yellow fur paint and starts using it. After that, Midnight comes out of the bathroom.

8am...

Pearl: It took you that long?
Midnight: (a little annoyed) You know that I don't like being seen like that.
Pearl: Why don't you just tell anyone about it?
Midnight: I like it this way.

Crystal comes from upstairs and see the 2 of them. Midnight notices her and greets her.

Midnight: (nice) Hi Crystal!
Crystal: Oh hi, Midnight! Pearl is breakfast ready?
Pearl: Not yet but I'm almost ready.
Crystal: Ok, then.
Midnight: Actually...

Guys the only reason the chapter ends atbthis point is because it will be too long if I put it in one whole "Chapter" and so I will split in in half. Don't worry, at the point of the book is being published I will work on the next part.
