Chapter 25

WEST'S POV**

It was nearly 10 in the morning, and sakto, tapos na ako mag prepare. Nagtataka lang ako kasi bakit di parin bumababa si Reiven.

Usually, she wakes up at 9 in the morning.

I didn't mind it nalang since naging pabor din sakin late na pagbanggon nya.

After a while, dumating na rin mga kaibigan niya and sila Dino and Kaede.

Yung mismong may birthday nalang talaga wala.

"Ang effort natin ah," biro ni Kaede habang akmang dudukot ng icing sa cake, agad ko naman hinampas kamay nito dahilan para simangutan ako nito.

"Tayo tayo lang?" Domino asked looking around.

"I guess?.... as far as I know kakaunti lang din talaga kaibigan ni Reiven." tugon ko while putting away the dishes I used earlier.

"Speaking of, andito na mga bisita, yung celebrant nasaan?" tanong ulit ni Kaede.

Nag kibit-balikat nalang ako at nag desisyon na silipin na si Reiven sa taas.

I took of my apron, washed my hands and saglit na sinilip mga kaibigan ni Reiven bago ako umakyat.

I knocked on the door before opening it.

She was already up, naka headphones and her eyes are on her laptop.

Nang maramdaman nito na nagsara ang pinto, automatically, her head lifted and met me.

"Oh, Hi! Sorry may pinapanuod ako, I'll be down in a few seconds." she said smiling.

Good mood?

After shutting the door behind me, umupo ako sa tabi ni Reiven.

She didn't say anything and just made space para makaupo ako.

"What are you watching?" I asked.

"I'm watching an anime series, Rental Girlfriend." she explained habang pinapakita sakin ang screen.

I just nodded at saglit na nakinuod, but I'm not getting a grasp of what's happening.

Di na ako umangal at nakinuod nalang. Then I remembered may mga tao nga pala sa baba.

"Baba na tayo," aya ko.

She looked at me before tilting her head to her left.

"Did you cook na?"

Tango nalang ang sinagot ko rito.

Akmang aalis na sana ako nang hilahin naman ako ni Reiven sa braso dahilan para mapatumba ako and landed right on top of her.

"Wait! 5 minutes please?"

"Lalamig pagkain, Cyrie," I said and tried getting up.

But before I could even get up, her hands crawled and gently wrapped around my waist.

"Don't move"

"Nangangalay ako ha"

"Just 2 minutes." she whispered as she hugged me tightly.

Cyrie's not really touchy. When she gets clingy around you, it means you've already reached another level of closeness with her.

"Are you forgetting something?" She asked softly.

I cleared my throat and pretended to not to understand what she meant.

"No, sabi ko lalamig pagkain sa baba-"

"You still didn't say it," she uttered as she buried her face on my shoulders.

"Reiven-"

"May lakad ka?" she asked suddenly.
