Skipping the morning meeting, I went to my mother's house to inform her of where I was going. Alpha Wilson's pack was only a few states over and the drive wouldn't take too long. It should have been an easy trip with no complications. But it was always better to be ready for when shit hits the fan, as it regularly does around me. Pulling open the door to my old home, I sighed; it had been too long since my last visit. My baby sister came running across the hardwood floor screaming with excitement.

"TeeTee!" she squealed as she threw herself around my leg. She was small for a four-year-old but other than that, looked exactly like me as a child. Easily, I scooped her up in my arms.

"Where's Mommy, baby girl?"

"Kit'en." She giggled and ran her fingers over my face. "You so pwetty TeeTee."

"So are you Emma." Her little cheeks blushed and she buried her face in my shoulder as I carried her to the kitchen in search of Mom. Emma was right; Mom was at the table reading a book.

"Morning Mom." Startled by my voice, she jumped and gasped.

"Dear Goddess! Don't scare me like that Tianna." Smiling, she stood and pulled me into a hug. "It's nice to see you though. We've missed you."

"I'm a phone call away," I kissed her cheek, "but today I have good and bad news for you."

"Bad first." Mom forced a smile and sat back down.

"I'll be leaving for a week."

"So long." She frowned. "And the good?"

"Nick found her, his mate. She is perfect for him Mom. But that's why I have to go. I'm taking her home for her farewells and to help her pack and get moved over."

"Why doesn't Nick go?"

"There was another rouge attack. He feels he needs to be here and keep the pack safe and he couldn't just let her go alone."

"Understandable."

"I need to go pack but I just wanted to come say bye and that I love you."

"I love you too." Mom kissed my cheek and attempted to take Emma from me.

Emma growled, "No! Stay TeeTee!" Her eyes filled with tears. "Pwease."

"We will play when I get home; I promise. I'll take you for ice cream."

"Stawbewy?" Her smile brightened.

"Of course."

She clapped her hands together. "Huwy home!"

"I will baby girl; love you."

"Lo'e you too."

Handing her to Mom, I kissed their cheeks one more time before I turned back to the pack house. Taking a deep breath, I called for my dog. She was a present from Father before he passed, her name meant silver in French. She was a Husky, wolf mix. It was rare for my kind to keep pets but I wouldn't get rid of her. As she ran toward me from the cover of the forest, I smiled. She was such a good dog. When she came to me she sat and wagged her tail violently. Kneeling down, I brushed my fingers through her thick, black coat. Kissing her snout, I stood and she followed me back to the house; there would be no harm in having her come with us. Pulling open the door, Nick was waiting with his arms crossed.

"You missed the meeting."

"Saying goodbye to the family," I explained.

"Do you think you'll need to take anyone with you?"
