Sleeping in my wolf form was uncomfortable and a little painful. It didn't feel normal or right. Tossing and turning all night, the man in the chair haunted me. Again and again my mind forced me to watch as the light went out of his eyes. Simon nuzzled me with his nose, waking me from the disturbing sleep. When my eyes flickered open he turned back into his human form to talk with me.

"Are you okay?"

I shifted back in pain. "Just couldn't sleep."

"Why?"

"I–"

"Hurry up dogs! You need to get going!" Lilly shouted from the safety of the door. I was really starting to hate the sound of her voice. Simon rolled his eyes.

"You're lucky you got Tommy. I might just let someone shoot her a little bit."

He made me smile, really smile for the first time since I woke up. At least I knew I could count on him.

When we got to Lilly's side she looked us over in disgust before tossing each of us a bag.

"Get dressed in these and Tommy will come get you for the hunt."

Simon nodded. "And you?"

"I'll stay in the lab but Daddy and Tommy will be taking you out."

Ignoring them talk, I unzipped the black backpack and started pulling out the different things in search of some real clothes. To my delight, I pulled out black jeans, a black long sleeve shirt, black jacket, and stupid black shoes.

"These are happy."

Lilly rolled her eyes. "Well you need to go unnoticed."

"And dressing us like this is supposed to do that?"

"Don't back talk me, or you won't be going."

Pulling on my clothes, I bit back my snide comments and the desire to rip out her throat. Simon followed my lead as Lilly slipped back into the building and Tommy came skipping out.

"How are you two today?"

Simon smiled. "Ready for a hunt."

Still glaring after Lilly, I grumbled. "Why do I hate your sister so much?"

"You two had a little fight a few years back and you just never got over it. Why do you ask?"

"Just curious." Stretching out, my back and head ached from sleeping on the ground. Scratching the rash, the collar had created on my neck, I fought my frustration. "So what's the plan?"

"We'll go to the hotel, it's in the city and near a coffee shop where we have seen him a few times. Peter and I will stay there while you two sniff them out. We will have a team watching you, ready to assist when needed but we need you to find him first."

Simon pulled on his jacket. "So is it a kill on sight kinda thing or bring him back alive?"

"Alive, Peter has some questions for him."

"Questions?" I asked.

Peter threw the door open with his normal scowl and annoyance. "You ask too many questions dog."

"You don't answer enough of them human."

Tommy clapped his hands together. "Alright, let's get you two into the van."

He quickly opened the door and lead us through a maze of hallways until we got to another intensely locked door. After what felt like forever of tests and passwords, the door finally clicked open and we walked out. A part of me nearly leaped in excitement and joy. I hadn't realized just how much I had hated being in there. Something in me woke up, the burst of excitement made my nose bleed but I didn't care. I was out, I was free, and I would do anything to keep this feeling.
