Bard - You're Great Friends and You Help Him Escape Jail

"Tauriel" You gently place your hand on her arm and she turns to face you "They woke the dragon, now everyone is in danger" She says with a gentle tone although she is fearful of what is to come. She just doesn't show it.

"We must hurry" She steps inside and you follow. Tauriel helps with the girls as you rush their things down to the boat. Whilst packing you over hear Bane having a go at Tauriel "We are not leaving without our father" Your heart stops upon hearing about Bard, it's got you wondering where he is.

You quickly rush the children's things down to the boat when a thought comes to mind. Knowing it's a large possibility, you race back up stairs, grab your bow and quiver filled with arrows "(Y/N) what are you doing?" Bofur questions you

"I'm going to find your father" You say looking at the three young children staring back at you "Hurry up and leave, when I find your father we will catch up" You turn around and walk out when you hear Bain calls your name. You're halfway down the stairs when Bain rushes to you "I'll come with you"

"No Bain you need to stay here and keep your sisters safe" He sighs but nods "I promise I will return back with your father" He nods again letting you race off to the jail.

You push through men, women and children screaming in fear. All of a sudden a loud thunderous sound rumbles and a large shadow flies overhead.

"He's here" You whisper to yourself. Smaug does make you fear of him but right now you know you have to find Bard, and save him from whatever mess he's in. You carry on towards the jail.

You race up the stairs and walk through the door hearing someone shouting. You race down the creaky wooden hall only to find Bard in a cell "(Y/N)" He gasps

"My thoughts were right, you are in jail" You giggle

"This is no time for jokes" He says seriously and has his serious face on.

"Right, sorry" You clear your throat and grab the keys from the hook nearby and unlock the rusty cell door. All of a sudden Bard grabs your waist, forcing your body closer to his then out of nowhere he crashes his lips down onto yours. The keys drop out your hand then Bard pulls away "What was that?" You question

"A kiss" He says with an obvious tone

"I know but, why?" He cups your cheeks and presses his lips to yours again. But it's cut short when you hear rumbling, people screaming at the very top of their lungs and building exploding. You and Bard pull away faster than lightning, looking out the window to see a line of fire "He's starting to burn the town" You gasp

"Where are my children?" He snaps

"With the dwarves and elf" You say and go to rush out but Bard grabs your arm pulling you back. Making you realize your mistake "What elf, (Y/N)?"

"You were whereabouts and Orcs attacked us. Two elves came and saved, one stayed. We have to hurry now" You take his hand and run to the weapons vault.

Bard collects his weapon when something catches your eye "My old bow!" You snatch it up "They had it all along"

"I remember" Bard chuckles "We were only teenagers, nearly struck and arrow through the mayor's head. Got you put in prison for a day until I bailed you out, they said they burned the bow" Liars they are. Your dad hand crafted this bow 3 years before he passed away from a sickness.

Gripping the bow tight in your hand you turn to Bard "We have a dragon to kill" You whisper as you and Bard rush out and race to the bell tower.

"I'm all out of arrows!" You shout

"I got one left" He holds is last arrow up. He waits for the perfect line up before releasing it. Once again, a failed attempt "We're all out of arrows and nearly the whole town is burning.

At the corner if your eye you see Smaug flying towards you "Get down!" You push Bard down to the floor just as Smaug crashes into the side of the tower. Letting the bell crash into the water below.

You sit up and push a wooden post off of your leg "Bain what are you doing here?" You spin around to see Bain at the floor entrance "Nothing can kill it"

"This can" He pulls up the black arrow.

"Come on!" You encourage Bard to get up and Bain jumps up. You turn around to see Bard holding his broken arrow. Then Smaug lands down on a few homes "Oh isn't that a pity" You hold Bane close by as the dragon speaks.

Bard sticks the ends if his arrow into the posts "Bain come here" He calls for his son and positions Bain where he wants him. Then he paces the arrow on his sons shoulder "Bard what the hell are you doing?"

"Trust me" He pulls back the black arrow, aiming to the perfect spot for the perfect timing. Your nails dig into your arm, nerves taking over. Then Smaug starts coming towards the tower "Bain look at me" Bard whispers to his son "To the left a little...that's it, stay still" The closer he gets and the more time Bard doesn't release makes fear grow. Suddenly, he let's the arrow fly from his fingertips, past Bain's should and straight into Smaug under his left wing.

"You did it!" You cheer but it's too early for that when Smaug crashes into the tower sending you all crashing to the lake below.

You feel your back hit the water then your body drop in temperature from the ice cold lake. You resurface from the water seeing now the destruction Smaug has done to your home.

Bard and Bain resurface gasping for air and coughing up some up some water "(Y/N)! Are you alright?" Bard swims up to you

"It's gone" A tear slips from your eye "Everything is gone" You whisper.

"Come on, we need to get back to the others" He brushes a bit of hair behind your ear "Bain" You all swim to a ledge and pull yourselves out, not wasting a moment to get going.

There will be a part 2, possibly if I keep going with these imagines.
