Shrishti's POV

It was a bright sunny day, I woke up by my alarm.

'It's a good day to be lazy!!'

I stood up from my bed, goy dresses into
an ankle length summery outfit with tulips printed all over it.

As it was my holiday so I decided to go out with my friends for shopping.

Because I have nothing to wear.

I got down for breakfast, where I saw that my parents had a neutral face, with zero expressions.

Baba sab thik ho.

'What happened to you two?'

They looked towards me, then exchanged looks.

"Have your breakfast first."

Something in my stomach twisted.

'Okay..'
.
.
.
"Beta remember we went in a wedding function?"

'Ji' I replied not knowing where is this leading to.

"There we got to know about umm..
Kartik Jaiswal."

V-vaibhav.
The name that stays in my mind 24/7

"You know him by any chance?"

That spoiled bastard.

Who wouldn't.

'No.'

"Your father and I liked him, how about you meet him?"

Ohh this is what that lady told them.

Why won't people let us live!

'Par maa papa mujhe shaadi nhi krni abhi-' I said getting irritated.

"Beta who is asking you to get married right away?"

"Us se mil lo, na pasand aaye toh koi nhi, last decision will be yours." My father smiled assuring me.

And winked at me.

What he really means is:-
Mummy ne kaha mil lo, but ye nhi ki mile ya nhi ye unhe btao.

My dad.

'Ok mummy.'

'Today at 7 pm, Bridgecafe.'

I widened my eyes at my father.

"Main teri maa hun" She grinned.

'Fiiine!!!'

'I'm going out with my friends, for now.'
.
.
.

While settling myself in my car, I made a conference call to my friends and connected my airpods.

"Hey babe!"

"Hii Shritu"

'Haiii guys' I said sulkily.
