i went home telling wanda about my day before heading down to the lab for a while. peter joined me at some point and we were working in silence.

"dinner time" i briefly heard friday say but it went straight over my head. i was close to getting this thing right.

i grabbed two objects of different compositions and attached the bracelets to it before turning them on remotely.

they successfully teleported to where the ball rolled to. "pete do you wanna test something that may or may not work" i said turning around.

"peter?" i couldn't find him anywhere. but i saw nat standing by the door. she was too shocked to say anything.

"you progressed that much in a day, from one thing to two at the same time, bravo mini bravo" she applauded me. "but it's dinner time so come on up" she held her hand out to me. with her help i stepped over all my parts i had laying around and into the elevator.

"so how was your day kid" steve asked and it took a second for me to realise it was him talking to me

"oh, yeah it was good. um my maths teacher wants me to go to MIT like right now, but i said no. anything anyone could teach me i already know. and any equipment they have i have" i shrugged.

"and to think i used to be the prodigy in the team" peter said shaking his head causing us to laugh.

after dinner i snuck away to keep working. it wasn't until wanda was standing infront of me in her pyjamas i knew it was late.

"come on honey, you have school tomorrow"
"wait please, i'm almost finished" i laid the bracelets around different pieces of fruit. an orange, a green and red apple, a banana, and a pear. remotely i then turned them all on.

"pick a fruit" i asked her
"the banana"
so i made it so they all teleported to the banana. not only can they teleport to the ball now but to eachother.

i couldn't help the smile that crossed my face. bouncing on my feet as it worked.

"so it went from teleporting one person, to two, to a whole group interchangeably" she said astonished "in 24 hours"

"yeah i guess so"
"bedtime then?"
"i guess so" im going to go upstairs get some water, then come back down.
"no you're not honey, you're sleeping" my jaw dropped but i didn't question it anymore.

wanda lead me upstairs and told me to go have a shower. that she would be back to tuck me in.
i did as she said cracking my fingers against my legs as they were tired form all the working.

i stepped out wrapping myself in a towel. i dried off putting some pyjamas on when i left the bathroom wanda was just coming in with a glass of water.

she placed it on my bedside table and pulled the blankets back. getting in she pushed my hair out of my face and smiled.

"i'm proud of you y/n" she said. "i'll see you in the morning, goodnight" she kissed my head. i honestly blushed at the affection. i was not used to it.

she left switching the light of and i was left staring out the towers window. i was so tired. but i couldn't sleep

i open the large windows and stare out at the city.
"friday?" i ask wondering if it will respond to me now my father wasn't here. with no response i grab out my phone and call peter.

"y/n?"
"are you on patrol?"
"yeah but it's pretty slow"
"can you come get me, i can't sleep"

he said he was on his way and i sighed putting some warmer clothes on.
he came by and got me and swung to another part of the city. a quieter part.

"you're like a little sister to me you know that right?" peter said and i nodded. "so you'd tell me if something was wrong?" he continued.

"nothings wrong pete, i've just never had a good nights sleep" he doesn't speak after that and we sit watching the city that never sleeps.

at 4am i was finally drifting off to sleep on his shoulder. he was closer to his apartment now so i wasn't going to make him take me all the way back to the tower. i was just going to walk but he offered for me to stay.

he gave me the top bunk in his room and went to have a shower.
i crashed the second my head hit the pillow
