Backstory: Grew up in England with her parents, it was all decent until her father was one of the drunks that was picked off the street to go and work on a ship, when Gen was around 10.
She snuck on board after him and hid away, until pirates attacked the ship. She should have been killed but the captain took her in instead. She never thought about going back to her real home.
