Sophie thought she was going to die.

She thought about her family, her friends, and most importantly, her crush (and cognate), Fitz, and how they would mourn her loss.

Her eyes squeezed shut, bracing for the worst to happen.

But... it didn't.

Sophie was just grateful that it didn't happen to her, and that nobody would have to mourn her loss.

I mean, they probably were, because she was no where to be seen in the Lost Cities. After all, she is stuck in this luxurious castle filled with who knows what?

Suddenly gaining a little confidence from surviving a wall crash (the tragedy), she slowly opened her eyes to see what had happened..

Then she gasped. VERY loudly that Sophie thought people from the first floor of the castle could hear it.

The wall was sort of.. levitating... in the air???

Then she realized she was clinging on to the cute boy who talked to her a few minutes ago.

The boy must have realized it too, because he cleared his throat, reached up to fix his hair and pulled away from her. "S-sorry, I don't know what h-happened, but I wanted to protect you in case... oh nevermind." Then, he turned bright red.

Sophie couldn't help but release a giggle. He was kinda cute when he stuttered or blushed. Wait.. why is she thinking this way? She needed to find a way to get out of this castle, not stand here waiting for him to introduce himself.

But he just HAPPENED to introduce himself.

"By the way, I'm Keefe. I'm looking forward to seeing you wandering around the hallways by yourself again," he smirked, "But you should be careful too. Daddy Dearest put some traps around the castle just in case I try to escape again."

"Daddy Dearest?" Sophie had to ask. She had never heard of a name called 'Daddy Dearest' before.

She also couldn't help but notice how hot the boy (Keefe, I think?) looked.

He had soft blonde locks with curls at the end, ice blue irises with dark blue flecks, and- WOAH.

Sophie took only a peek at his abdomen but- oh my MALLOWMELT! He had the most muscular 6 packs out of all the boys she had seen in her 14 years.

She felt a blush creeping up her cheeks as the boy grumbled, "Oh yeah! Just my SUPER AMAZING dad who doesn't let me leave the castle unless I'm greeting someone from the outside, which is not that often."

Keefe looked so miserable then that Sophie just had to wrap him up in a giant bear hug.

"Now that I think of it, I've never seen you around in this castle before. Are you new? If you are, I can show you around," he squirmed excitedly. Anyone could have mistaken him for a cute little puppy.

"I'm in if you are!" Sophie said in a sing-song voice.

If you looked at this moment in a 3rd person's view, you would have thought Keefe and Sophie were a lovey-dovey couple in human movies that cuddled or took care of each other every second they got.

So, Keefe took Sophie out (A/N: I'm screaming inside. I can't believe I just wrote that-) for a tour around the castle, and Sophie forgot about the wall still levitating where they were just a few minutes ago, plus all the questions she had about how to escape.

She just stayed in the moment, as her biological mother would always tell her to do.

For now.
