Finally, today is the day I have been eagerly waiting for 12 long years. Sometimes, the wait can truly be worth it. I am adorned in my beautiful lehenga, fully prepared to embark on this lifelong journey with him. A smile of anticipation graces my face, but as my eyes catch sight of the picture frame containing a cherished memory of me and my best friend Riya, a pang of sadness washes over me. Oh, how I long for her presence by my side on this special day! Only I know the depth of our bond and how her absence dampens the joy within me.

I find myself reminiscing about the countless conversations we had about my wedding. Riya, why did you break all those promises? You assured me that even if no one else stood by my side, you would always be there. But alas, you are the one who left me. This day holds significance, yet it lacks the same level of specialness without you. I wish, oh how I wish, that you were still alive. If only you were here, then my happiness would be complete.

A single tear escapes my eye, tracing a path down my cheek. I mutter softly while gazing at the picture frame, "Why does Saraswati disappear after Ganga and Jamuna unite?" I quickly wipe away my tears, determined to carry on with the festivities.

As I continued talking to myself, a sudden sound of shattering glass broke the silence. Startled, I turned around to find myself face-to-face with the most adorable baby girl, who looked like a little angel. "S...sorry, aunty," she stammered, her voice as sweet as her appearance. My heart melted instantly.

"Aw, baby doll, come here," I cooed, beckoning her closer. She obediently walked towards me, her innocent eyes filled with curiosity. "Yes?" she replied, her voice tinged with innocence and wonder. I couldn't help but be captivated by her presence.

Curiosity piqued, I asked her, "How did you end up here?" She began to explain, "Actually, my mom brought me here. She said it's a special place because..." Before she could finish her sentence, my mom entered the room, frustration evident on her face. "Oh God, this girl," my mom sighed in exasperation.

Confused, I inquired, "What happened, mom?" She explained, "This little cutie is so clumsy, you know. She accidentally broke the mirror in the guest area." Despite my mom's frustration, I couldn't help but see the charm in the little girl. "Oh, mom, chill. Look at how cute she is. Just look at her beautiful ocean eyes," I said, unable to resist planting a gentle kiss on her rosy cheeks.

The little girl, still in my mom's arms, spoke up, "Aunty, can you drop me off outside?" I smiled and replied, "Of course, my dear." However, my mom intervened, insisting, "No, no, I'll take her. You need to go to the mandap. Everyone is waiting for you." She scooped up the little girl and carried her away, leaving me with a mix of emotions, both touched by the sweet encounter and eager to embrace the next chapter of my life.
