───────── ౨ৎ ─────────Amid the cacophony of ringing phones, clicking keyboards, and animated conversations, Park Jihyo sat at her desk, her fingers flying over the keys of her laptop.
She had always been a relentless seeker of truth, a trait that earned her a reputation as one of the best journalists in the city.
Jihyo's name had been known since high school, where she was celebrated not only for her academic prowess but also for her tenacity and determination.
Now, years later, Jihyo found herself drawn back into that world, not as a student, but as a journalist. She had received a call from Momo's friend, Y/n, who was seeking help with something that went beyond the usual scope of her investigations.
Jihyo glanced at the file on her desk, her curiosity piqued. She picked it up, flipping through the pages filled with reports, photos, and clippings. As she read through the details, her phone buzzed, interrupting her concentration.
She picked it up, her lips curving into a smile as she saw the caller ID. "Momo-chan, long time no talk."
"Jihyo! You sound as busy as ever" Momo's cheerful voice came through, filled with the same warmth and vitality Jihyo remembered.
"You know me, always on the hunt for a good story. What's up?"
"I just wanted to thank you for helping Y/n. This means a lot to her, and to all of us."
Jihyo's smile softened. "Anything for you guys. Plus, this case is intriguing. I'm already knee-deep in research."
"Leave it to you to get excited over a mystery" Momo laughed. "By the way, do you remember that teacher who used to call you 'Detective Park'? I guess he wasn't far off the mark."
Jihyo chuckled, shaking her head. "Yeah, Mr. Kim. He always said I'd either be a detective or a journalist. Looks like he was right."
"Glad he was. Anyway, I won't keep you. Just wanted to touch base and say thanks."
"No problem, Momo. I'll keep you updated. Talk soon."
As Jihyo hung up, she turned her attention back to the file.
She snapped photos of pertinent pages with her phone, cataloging everything for her investigation.
Amidst the pile of papers, two particularly old and worn folders caught her eye.
The labels were barely legible, but she could make out "Dr. Myoui Shoma" (fictional) and "Dr. Myoui Akira"written in faded ink.
Curiosity piqued, Jihyo gently pulled the folders towards her. They had clearly been stored away for a long time, the edges frayed and the paper yellowed with age.
As she opened the first folder, she found herself looking at a detailed profile of Dr. Myoui, Mina's father. The second folder seemed to contain more personal records.
The first folder contained medical and professional records. Dr. Myoui Shoma was a well-respected figure in the medical community, known for his groundbreaking research and philanthropic efforts.
