You were heartbroken. Why you may ask? Well, you were at the club with some of your friends. And that was when you saw your boyfriend, Ewan, kissing another girl. You felt your heart shattered as you witnessed this.

But... he told me he was working late tonight. You thought to yourself. Obviously, that was a lie.

When your friends tried to ask what was wrong, you ignored them and turned around, and walked out of the club.

Your heart pounding in your chest, you couldn't believe what had just happened. You thought he loved you, but it seems you were mistaken.

You walked outside the club, and the cold night air hit you like a rock, making your breath visible. You shivered, but at the same time, a hot rage fueled your entire body.

You couldn't believe how stupid you were, believing his excuses each time. You were such a fool.

As you were slowly starting to cry outside the club, you heard the loud sound of a motorcycle stopping a few meters away from you.

Curious to see who it could've been, you turned around to see who was on the motorcycle. You were not expecting this person, at all.

Hayden, Ewan's best friend.

You recognized him by the familiar blue eyes you had seen multiple times. You weren't sure the expression he had on his face though, it could've been anything.

But then, unexpectedly, he dismounted from his motorcycle, and walked up to you.

"What happened...?" He asked, sounding slightly unsure of what was going on as it didn't take him long to discover the tears rolling down your cold, tender cheeks.

You looked up at him, your chest still pounding and your body trembling.

"...Ewan," You said, wiping the tears off your face. "He... he was kissing someone else."

Hayden sighed, "bastard." Immediately, he pulled you into a big, warm hug. As it took your body a few moments to adjust to the feeling of heat after being caught in the freezing cold, you suddenly felt the tears flow harder.

He kept you warm, his arms comforting surrounding you. "Shhh...it's okay..." he soothly spoke to you, rubbing your back in the process.

You clung onto him, a sob escaping your lips. He continued to hold you, your face buried in his chest.

You could hear his heartbeat pounding through his chest, which calmed you down a little. You were still shaking, but having him here helped a lot.

When you finally regained your composure, you pulled away from him, your body shivering less as the heat seeped back into it.

He looked down at you with concern. "You okay?"

You sniffled, slightly shaking your head, trying your best not to cry again.

He frowned, "I'm not letting you walk home in this condition. You'll catch a cold and I believe that's the last thing you'd want right now." He then gestured to his motorcycle. "Get on." He said.

Hesitantly, you walked up to the motorcycle. You looked up at him, still a bit nervous to climb onto a motorcycle as you had never done so before, but he was here so you felt a bit more at ease.

He chuckled slightly, noticing your hesitant demeanor. "Don't worry, I wont speed. I promise." He said, giving you a reassuring smile.

You smiled a bit at his reassurance, and proceeded to climb onto the motorcycle. You wrapped your arms around his firm waist, and he started up the engine.
