2.9k wordsYou've never been close to your grandparents, but when they promised to house and feed you for a few months over your college break, you thought, Why not?
Your grandpa told you about a rodeo happening for people your age, so you decided to go. You didn't know anyone there, so you were feeling awkward and uncomfortable as you watched the rodeo events. Then suddenly an attractive guy, one of the bull riders, walks over with a slightly crooked grin.
"Well hello darlin'." He smiles sweetly, his accent coming through as a sultry, smooth southern drawl. His bright blue eyes sparkle in the sunlight. His skin is lightly sun tanned. He's wearing his cowboy hat... and also his cowboy uniform. Which is basically jeans, a plaid, button up shirt, and a brown jacket. He looks to be slightly older than you. You can't stop noticing his height and build as he stands there, giving you a little bit of a flirty grin.
His height was also an attractive feature. He was 6'5 foot. Much taller than you. He was definitely muscular too. You were a tiny little thing compared to him. "I saw ya lookin' lonely sittin' over here." He says softly, his southern drawl sending a shiver down your spine. "Howdy. My name's Hayden. Hayden Christensen."
He extends his large, calloused hand for you to shake. His hands were strong, like you expected, and his grip was firm.
"What's your name pretty?"
He says, letting go of your hand and tilting his hat back a bit so you could get a better look at his handsome face. His bright blue eyes were stunning, with long, dark eyelashes, and he had a slightly crooked grin.
You wonder why he chose you to come over and talk to. There were so many other people over at the rodeo that had came alone, just like you did. He could have gone over to any one of them. So why you? Your cheeks pinken at the thought of such a handsome cowboy flirting with you.
"Uh... (Y/n), (Y/n) (L/n)." You finally replied, sounding a little shy almost.
"That's a pretty name. Suits ya well." He grins, that smooth accent of his making it almost sound like he's purring. His eyes were like jewels, so blue and shiny. They were very piercing too. "You here all alone?" He asks curiously.
His questions were simple ones, you guessed it was his flirty personality coming out as he stood there, his bright blue eyes locked with yours. You nod your head in answer to his question.
"Yeah," you reply, your head still bowed as he stood there looking at you. His tall, strong body seemed to tower over yours. He was so tall and handsome. And strong too. It was no wonder he was a professional bull rider.
"Well ain't that a shame," he says with a soft chuckle. "A pretty little thing like you shouldn't have to sit all alone here. Why don't I keep ya company for a bit?"
He grins, tipping his cowboy hat in a flirty manner. His accent made him sound smooth as silk, his voice deep and soothing, like a country song.
Before you can answer, he takes off his cowboy hat and plops it down on your head. The moment your heads touch, electricity sparks run through your body. You feel drawn to him, like he's pulling you in with his handsome looks and charming manner. A flush of heat fills your cheeks as you look up at his gorgeous face. He was so handsome, it was crazy. It almost didn't seem fair for one person to be this sexy.
He grins at the sight of his hat sitting on top of your head. "Ya look good in my gear," he says with a wink. You blush furiously as he reaches out to gently grab your chin, tilting your head up towards him."...Thank you," you murmured, you couldn't help but feel nervous around him, your heart beating faster by the second.
His fingers were calloused from working hard every day, but they felt smooth as they held your chin. His thumb gently brushed over your bottom lip as he tilted your head back, his bright blue eyes gazing down into yours. He had an intense look on his face, one that made you feel like you were the only thing on his mind.
