Phoebe and Catherine were having a blast at their sleepover in the attic, giggling and sharing secrets until the wee hours of the morning. They had set up a cozy little bed with blankets and pillows, and were snuggled up close, feeling like they were in their own little world.

As they settled in for the night, Phoebe noticed that Catherine seemed a little down. Her usual sparkle was dimmed, and her ghostly form seemed to flutter with a hint of sadness.

"Hey, Cat, what's wrong?" Phoebe asked, concern etched on her face. She reached out and gently touched Catherine's ghostly arm, trying to offer comfort.

Catherine sighed, her ghostly form fluttering slightly. "I just wish...I wish I could go back to being human for a little while."

Phoebe's curiosity was piqued. "Why?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle.

Catherine's gaze dropped, her voice barely above a whisper. "Because I want you to see what I really looked like, Phoebe. I want you to know what I was like before...before I died."

Phoebe's heart went out to her friend. She had never thought about how Catherine might feel, being stuck in her ghostly form. She couldn't imagine what it must be like to be trapped in a state that wasn't fully alive, but not fully dead either.

"But Cat, you're beautiful just the way you are!" Phoebe said, trying to reassure her. She meant it too - Catherine's ghostly form may not have been physical, but it was still radiant and full of life.

Catherine shook her head, her ghostly form quivering. "No, Phoebe, I'm not. I'm just a shadow of what I used to be. A blue haze with dark hair and dark brown eyes. You can't even see my real face, my real skin...you can't see me."

Phoebe tried again. "Cat, I know you're more than just your physical form. You're kind, smart, and funny. And I love you for who you are, ghostly form and all."

Catherine's ghostly form flickered, her eyes filled with longing. "You...love me...?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.

Phoebe nodded, her voice filled with conviction. "Yes, Cat, I do. I love you, no matter what form you take."

Catherine's ghostly form trembled, her eyes shining with tears. "You don't understand, Phoebe. You can't see me, so you can't love me for who I truly am. You can only see this...this ghostly shell."

Phoebe tried once more. "But Cat, I'm telling you the truth! I may not be able to see your physical form, but I can see your heart and your spirit. And that's what makes you beautiful."

Catherine's ghostly form quivered, her voice barely above a whisper. "You don't know what you're talking about, Phoebe. You can't see me, so you can't know what I'm truly like."

Phoebe sighed, feeling a little frustrated. She wanted to help Catherine, but she didn't know how. She didn't understand what it was like to be a ghost, to be trapped in a state that wasn't fully alive.

But she knew one thing - she loved Catherine, no matter what. And she was determined to show her friend that she was loved and accepted, ghostly form and all.
