Frank Cipponeri was thrown headlong into the Indonesian investigation and he started out by checking the Google records Anwar had been examining whilst aboard the ship bound for Honolulu and on a more sinister level a trawl of explosive sites that included information on detonators, timing devices and things like that.
The cops noted a heavy concentration of searches on places where people tended to congregate - such as the ground of the Rainbow Warriors at the Hawai'i Bowl. Security was immediately stepped up.
Cippo had settled into his new role well. He had picked up Kai Lino at Honolulu International and had introduced himself as the new man on the block.
In conjunction with all this, Cippo had begun investigating where the Indonesians might be holed up. Word went out to the neighbouring islands to watch for strangers - Maui, the big island of Hawai'i, Moloka'i, Kaua'i and others. But Oahu wasn't ignored either, especially Honolulu and its surrounds.
