The last few days had been quite hectic, especially for the Mendez family. Gisele would need to have surgery more specifically mastectomy, surgery to remove her breasts. It's the best option for Gisele.
Elena was nearly twenty-five weeks pregnant and found it hard to believe her pregnancy was going so fast, with her unborn child now the size of a broccoli.
It was a delightful little surprise leading up to the birth that there was still no news about the baby's gender. Albert and Elena were happy that this was the case because she still preferred to wait until the little one was born to find out.
Tonight was a special night for the royal couple, the Queen had asked Albert and Elena to attend tonight's royal variety performance.
It had been a great few years since Albert had last attended the royal variety performance, he last attended with his father, but tonight he was attending in his own right.
He was now attending with Elena, who looked stunning in the attire she had picked out for the occasion.
Albert got out of the car and gave a wave to the people who were cheering the royal couple on as they walked the red carpet toward the people who had gathered to see them.
Elena stood back to give Albert the opportunity to greet people and shake hands before moving forward. A young girl then offered Elena some flowers, which she accepted with admiration and thanked the young girl for.
Adam, Albert's new private secretary, trailed behind them, ensuring that everything went according to plan and assisting when necessary to free Albert's hands as he ascended the stairs.
After that, they were led up the stairs to the royal booth, where they would be seated. Albert held Elena tightly the entire time.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome Jack Trooping and the fanfare trumpeters of the bad of the royal artillery." the announcer called out to the audience in attendance tonight, everyone looking up at the royal box to witness the royals' entrance.
As Albert and Elena emerged in the royal box, the speaker declared "Everyone please stand for Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Avondale." This caused the audience to stand and applaud.
The national anthem began to play, and the trumpeters saluted, stood in front of their chairs, and gazed out over the packed room.
The pair took their seats as the band exited the stage after the national song had finished playing. The choir boy sang along with the trumpeters as they played it, looking apprehensive as he looked up at the royal box.
"Your Royal Highnesses, Lord, Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome your host for the evening, Michael McIntyre," The announcer stated, as the curtains rose to show the evening's host to the world.
Knowing that there wouldn't be much asked of them this evening, Albert and Elena settled into their seats, wanting to be comfortable throughout the performance.

In the car heading back to York House after the Variety Performance, Albert got a call from his father explaining the currently family situation that would be taking place now.
"Is everything alright love?" Elena asked once her husband got of the phone, sensing that something was wrong.
Albert was a bit delayed when responding to his wife, still in a bit of shock after what his father had just told him. "Uh yes, Harry is finally getting the proper help he needs." Albert confessed to his wife.
Elena was a little shocked to hear the news but feeling happy that Harry is getting the help he needs to become a better, healthy and happier version of himself. "That's amazing to hear that he's finally accepting the help he needs." Elena said, "How do you feel?" Elena asked.
"I uh, I feel happy for him for doing everything he can to get better and hopefully this time it helps him in the long run." Albert stated, hoping that his older brother is willing to do what it takes to get better.
