chapter fourteen, staring problem.

ROSE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HAD GOTTEN INTO HER. For some odd reason, she was actually happy that Aaron had returned from his mini vacation.

Of course, she could go without his.....everything, but still, she missed being Satine to his Christian. Crazy, right?

Rose would absolutely never admit that she had, in fact, missed him. She would be insane to ever even think of saying it.

However, Aaron and the rest of the cast could immediately tell that Rose was relieved he was back. Why? They didn't know. But, once Aaron got back, Roses performances were back to normal.

Today, they had yet another show. And, just like normal, it went by quickly. However, all throughout Act One, Rose found herself doing something she should be locked in an insane asylum for doing.

She was staring at Aaron. And not her normal, acting, in love staring that she would normally do when playing Satine. No, Rose was full on, completely unaware of the fact, staring at Aaron. There was no trace of acting on her face, but yet, there was this certain look that she held. Awe.

Rose hadn't realized it, but literally everyone else did. And if they hadn't seen her play Satine before as many times as they did, they would think nothing of it. But everyone couldn't help but question, what was going on with their leading lady?

Aaron couldn't help but blush, unbeknownst to him, at the look on her face. For the first time in, well, ever she had a look of genuine affection on her face. There was no trace of hate, fake happiness, fake love and fake friendship. It was just pure and utter awe.

As soon as Rose realized it, she tried to stop, she really did, but she couldn't. There was just something about seeing Aaron for the first time in a week. Especially in his costumes, especially in his leather trench coat that made her want to.....what was I talking about again?

However, Roses staring problem wasn't the only thing she noticed. Both her and Aaron noticed a very specific girl staring at Aaron as well from the Can-Can tables. Rose couldn't help but think this was Chantelle Simmons, the girl that Madilyn had warned her about.

Chantelle's description fit this girl almost exactly. And with the way she was looking at Aaron, her bottom lip caught between her teeth, her eyes wide with attraction, her outfit showing off her body, it looked like the gossip was right. Chantelle's next target was the one and only Aaron Tveit. And Rose didn't like it at all.

Once intermission started Rose was able to capture a picture of the blonde girl, and she quickly sent it to her groupchat. Almost immediately, Madilyn answered.
