Tommy Shelby - Tired 24/7 Pt.2

Jodie's POV

'This is kidnapping! Let me out of this car this instant' I say sternly

'Love, it's not kidnapping. We're just making sure you're not pregnant' Tommy says chuckling. I sigh dramatically 

'How many times do I need to tell you all? I'm not pregnant!' I say raising my voice 

'Just calm down alright' John says 

'Don't you tell me to calm down John Micheal Shelby!' I say 

'It won't be long I promise' Tommy says 

'Are you a woman? Do you know how long these procedures take? I have places to be I'm a busy woman you know' I say folding my arms 

'Jo, I went through this with Martha' John says 

'Men have a different concept of time' I say making Tommy and Arthur laugh 

'We're nearly there so just calm down' Tommy says 

'If someone tells me to calm down one more time I will shoot them in the head' I say 

I look out the window for the remainder of the car ride refusing to speak to any of the boys. I've tried telling them it's just my low iron but do they listen no. Men think with their dicks instead of their brain and it gets on my nerves. 

'We're here so just listen to the nurses' Tommy says making me roll my eyes and get out of the car. I make sure to slam the door angrily and storm in front of the boys not wanting to speak to them at all 

'Jodie slow down' Arthur says but I just stick my middle finger up at him and walk into the hospital 

I sit down in the waiting room with my arms folded. Refusing to look at anyone 

'Look we can get some confirmation and then everything will go back to normal' John says 

'Just shut up. I'm about to go mad' I say as I look up to see Tommy and Arthur at the desk 

Tommy and Arthur sit down across from John and I. I look up at the ceiling in boredom as John, Tommy and Arthur converse about business as per usual. 

'Mrs Jodie Shelby?' A nurse says making the boys stand up in surprise since it usually takes ages 

'Are you coming?' Tommy says making me roll my eyes and I stand up and walk in front of the boys and towards the nurse who has a nervous look in her eyes 

'Just right in here' The nurse says and we follow here in this small room 

'What seems to be the problem?' The nurse says 

'My family think I'm pregnant but I know I'm not because it's my low Iron' I say sitting down on the bed 

'Let me just get my stethoscope and we can get to the bottom of this' The Nurse says quickly leaving the room 

'I'm telling you all it's my iron' I say 

'We'll see' Tommy says as The Nurse comes back into the room 

'Can I ask you to lift your dress, Mrs Shelby?' The Nurse says 

'Turn around' I say as Arthur and John turn around 

I lift my dress up and The Nurse puts her stethoscope to my stomach making me cringe since it's cold 

I see The Nurse scrunch her face in confusion making me nervous 

'Is she pregnant?' Tommy says 

'Congratulations Mr and Mrs Shelby, you're expecting' The Nurse says removing her stethoscope from my stomach 

'There must be some mistake' I say 

'There's a heartbeat' The Nurse says making me sigh 

'Thank you' Tommy says as I pull my dress down in disappointment 

'Would you like a schedule an appointment?' The Nurse says pulling her paper out 

'Yes please' Tommy says 

'You can turn around now' I say. John and Arthur turn around with massive smiles on their faces

'We can slot you in for Monday at 10:30 am' The Nurse says 

'That's perfect' Tommy says and we all leave once the appointment is scheduled 

'Don't even start' I say as John opens his mouth

'I was just going to say congratulations' John says putting his hands up

'Can we go?' I say grumpily and we leave the hospital to head back to Watery Lane 

I get into the car and lean my head against the window tiredly 

'We told you so' Arthur says making me turn around and death-stare him 

'I suggest you shut up or I'll throw your body in the cut' I say 

'Let's go tell the family then' Tommy says smiling
