CHAPTER THIRTY
pizza and shopping

The pizza was heavenly. Henrik and I moaned as we bit into our slices, earning concerned looks from Elijah. I was currently lounging on a sofa in a luxurious hotel room with my feet resting on the table in front of me. Henrik sat beside me, engrossed in an episode of Taskmaster, which played on the huge television across the room.

Elijah stood across the room, a hand resting on the mantle as he calmly surveyed the space. Rebekah was currently in her room, changing into some clothes that I had lent her. Klaus was nowhere to be seen. As soon as we checked into the hotel, he had made himself scarce. None of us seemed to mind.

"Do you want the last slice, Mor?" Henrik asked, gesturing the remaining slice of pizza. He was clearly only asking as a courtesy since he was already in the midst of picking it up.

"Let me have a bite and then you can finish the rest." I bargained with him. Henrik grinned as he brought the slice over to my mouth and I took a large bite, "Yum."

"Yum indeed!" Henrik mused before he wolfed down the rest of the slice and threw the crust in the pizza box.

"Morgana!" Rebekah called from the other and I straightened as I heard footsteps growing louder.

"Yeah?" I replied as Rebekah appeared in the living room in front of the TV. Henrik groaned and moved his head to see past his sister.

"These trousers are awfully tight!" She said turning around in a circle. My mouth went dry and I gulped as I took in the view of my skinny jeans hugging her delicious curves.

"They look perfect!" I forced myself to say as I managed to pull my eyes away from her body.

"Do you have anything slightly looser? I can't possibly imagine walking around in these!"

"Yes, of course!" I said jumping out of my seat and hurrying to the room I'd claimed as mine, "Follow me!"

I could feel Rebekah behind me as I rummaged through my backpack for my sweatpants. Finally finding them, I pulled them out and handed them to her with a shy smile.

"Here you go! They're not very fashionable but they will do until we can get you some clothes of your own!"

"Thank you, Morgana!"

God help me, she removed the skinny jeans right there in my room. I swallowed and immediately averted my eyes. Unfortunately for me, the image of her wearing the simple black panties I had lent her remained fixed in my head. I felt my cheeks heat up as I tried to shake away the image.

I was going to lose my mind at how attractive all the Mikaelsons were.

"So," I chuckled nervously as I listened to her change behind me, "We should probably go shopping and buy you some clothes of your own."

"Sounds like a plan." Rebekah said as she finished getting dressed. I let out an inaudible sigh of relief that I had made it through the whole ordeal without making a complete fool of myself, "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure!"

I froze as the tips of her fingers delicately began to trace my collar bone. I couldn't prevent the needy whimper that fell from my lips. Blood rushed to my face and Rebekah's eyes lit up with delight as the corner of her mouth tipped upwards.

"Why have you not yet completed the bond with any of my brothers?"

"Um," I said dumbly as I tried to process her question, "It's a long story."

"We have time." Rebekah said with a shrug.

"Well I guess the whole situation has been somewhat daunting to me so I haven't been ready to complete the bond with any of my mates yet." I attempted to explain but my words came out wrong. Oftentimes, my feelings were something that simply couldn't be put into words.
