Only a Memory now

One day you will join the river of bygone times and leave me all alone in the present.
What will I do then?
Without you, whom my world evolved around.
Now I will sit alone in our favorite spot.
Eat alone, our favorite meal.
Try all the things we wanted to try together.
Oh how boring it all will be without you, how tasteless and quiet.
Who will hold me when it's turning cold outside?
Listen to my rambling about silly little things.
Hold me when I'm crying, when only you could calm me down.
When you were the only reason I gave my everything.
Now you're only a memory, something that will be gone with my passing.
No one will remember what we saw.
What we heard and felt, no one will hear and feel.
No one will ever hear our unsaid thoughts.
Read our unwritten words.
Nor understand what we understood.
We are only memories that will soon fade away and be forgotten for eternity.
