Ben and Ashlyn sat together on the floor as he treated her injured arm while Atlas leaned against the couch, cleaning his wounded shoulder.
He's currently dabbing a cotton ball on the wound, cleaning it alcohol before he bandages it up. With the help of his puppy-like friend, he managed to bandage it up despite not really having a good look at his wound.
SMASH!
"Aye look, another weapon!" Aiden smiled widely, holding a broken glass bottle.
"Hey watch it!" Tyler scolded, "You should've done that in the bathroom, now there's glass everywhere!"
Logan stood from the floor, "I-I'll get the broom."
Ashlyn looked at the twins working together, she wondered if she was too harsh on the brunette boy. She flinched as Ben rubbed the towel on her wound, she tapped her foot on the floor, making a few thud noises.
Aiden walked over and sat next to Atlas. "Here, wanna squeeze this?" He said to the green eyed girl.
"...Thanks."
"Yep!"
"I never took you for the leader type." Aiden added, Atlas nodded his head softly in agreement.
"...I'm not." She answered, "But my parents are."
Atlas's head perked up in interest, "Your parents?" He asked.
"They're both from the military," She replied as Ben continued to wrap bandage around her arm.
"Ah, I get it. So you're used to being told what to do in a situation like this."
"Well not a situation like this—"
Atlas let out a soft chuckle.
"Then do you also know self defense?" The fake blonde continued to question her.
"I've took a few kick boxing classes." The ginger haired girl said, moving her arm a little. "Thanks, Ben. You're pretty good at this." She complimented.
Atlas nodded his head a bit, "He's used to patching me up. Oh and also Aiden." The tall black haired boy said with his usual eye smile.
"...From?"
"Mm, various things? Skateboard tricks, rock climbing, hiking, jumping off tall places, stuff like that?" Aiden answered.
Ashlyn stood from the floor and picked up one of the chair legs, "How many of these do we have?" She asked the twins.
"Uh, eight including the ones we're taking off right now." Taylor replied. "It's been quiet for a while now... do- do you think the monsters are gone?"
"They're... still outside the door." Ashlyn said, earning the group's attention. "I can hear them but... not in a normal way."
"What do you mean?" Logan questioned.
"Remember how I said I had sensitive ears?"
"Ooh that's right!" Aiden replied, "So you can hear them moving outside or something?"
"Sort of. They make a certain... sound I don't think you guys can hear." She squatted down to the floor.
"Can you get to the point?" Tyler retorted.
Ashlyn holds back from rolling her eyes in annoyance, "No-" She paused. "Well yes, but later. I think we should stay here for now so we can rest and... prepare ourselves."
"Once we go outside, there's no telling what we'll encounter. And let's not leave the living room. If something happens, I don't want to be split up." She continues, "There isn't much we can do now, so do mental exercises."
