Tom's pov:
I wanted to confess to Jake. We had made up a month ago.
"I don't know what to do, Aiden. What do I say?" I ask, desperate for help. "It's gonna be okay, I overheard him the other day, and he obviously still likes you. Just tell him."
"Okay.. I won't try to mess up this time.." I say. "You'll be fine, I believe in you." Aiden says. "But I'm scared." I say. "Trust me, Tom, you'll be fine." He says. He gives me a measuring smile.
I walk up to Jake. "Hey, I need to talk.. In private.." I say, the others all look at us. "Uh, okay?" He says. He stands up, and we walk off. I see aiden looking us, smiling.
Aidens pov:
"It feels good that those two will make things right. I mean, they're obviously into each other." I tell the group. Ashley nods. "Jake doesn't ever shut up about Tom.." She says.
"Yeah, Tom always talks about Jake. I'm basically his therapist at this point." I laugh.
"Oh damn, you might need to get paid." Ally says. I just laugh.
Jake's pov:
"What did you want to say? in private, too.." I say. "Well, it's serious. So, like, I'm in love with you, Jake." He says.
"You are?" I ask, genuinely in disbelief. He nods. "I never stopped liking you, I always have." He says.
"Oh wow, well.. I like you too." I say.
"Do you want to be boyfriends again?" Tom asks. "I would love to." I say.
Without thinking, I lean in for a kiss. We kiss for a minute until we pull apart. "Let's go back to the others." I say.
"Okay, let's go." He says as he grabs my hand. We walk back. "Oh, there they are." Aiden says. "And, how did it go. I mean, it obviously went well." He continues.
"Mhm, it did." Tom says. He looks at me and kisses me.
"Finally, it took yall long enough." Ashley says.
"Yeah, Tom's daily whining started to piss me off." Gabby says. "Hey now!" Tom says.
"Not like Jake didn't whine." Ashley says. "Ashley!" I say. "My bad, Jake."
We all laugh together. "At least Tom and I got the happy ending."
