Brooke is in her favorite place in the world, laying in bed next to Tim. They used to be very cuddly, but once they realized that neither is going anywhere, they now sleep side by side. They still cuddle, Brooke can pledge that since she didn't move from Tim's lap last night for at least five hours.
She's drifting between the realm of sleep and reality, content in her warmth under the covers. She's deliciously sore, enough for Brooke to remember last night, but Tim gave her a massage last night and a bath, so the soreness is manageable.
She subconsciously scoots towards Tim when he shifts. She peeks her eyes open to see the sun rising through the window. Based on how low it is in the sky, it's probably only 6 am or so, which means they have plenty of time to bask in bed before their stomachs will force them out of bed.
Brooke is just thinking about how lucky she is when both Tim's and her phones go off at the same time. The type of beep pulls Brooke out of her happy haze and into one of the realities of being a cop - days off aren't guaranteed.

"are you sure you're good for today?" Tim asks her as they get ready.
"I don't feel hazy anymore" Brooke assures him.
"and you don't feel like you're going to drop either, right?" Tim clarifies.
"I don't" Brooke says, honestly.
"okay..." Tim sighs, not liking it since they did an intense scene last night but he trusts Brooke.
"but I'll update you hourly just in case" Brooke adds.
Tim relaxes at that, nodding and kissing the top of Brooke's head.

"Thank you for coming in on your day off. The Vice President is making an unscheduled visit to our city. So it's all hands on deck. Agent Danvers." Captain Anderson says during roll call.
"Thank you, Captain. As always, the Secret Service appreciates the LAPD's assistance in clearing and securing "Redwood's" route. These are your Operation Plan Manuals." Danvers assigns.
Out of the corner of her eye, Brooke sees Jackson's phone buzz and watches him look down at it. Brooke cringes before turning her full attention back to Danvers.
"Each officer's name has been listed under a specific quadrant and zone, along with your responsibilities. Your watch commander will liaison with me throughout the day as issues arise." Danvers continues.
"Come on." Jackson mutters when he looks at his phone again.
"I'm sorry. Officer West. Is there something you want to share with the group?" Grey scolds.
"Um, no, sir. Uh I'm sorry. I just, uh I had plans I needed to cancel." Jackson replies.
"So did everyone here, yet they're paying attention." Grey reprimands.
"Yes, sir." Jackson nods.
"These assignments are your sole priority today. You will not field calls from dispatch. Let the day shift deal with that. Captain?" Grey turns to Anderson.
"Most of you know the drill. For our rookies, today is going to be ugly. Everything we do to ensure the safety of Redwood will create gridlock. It's important to be patient and vigilant. That's all. You're dismissed." Anderson warns before dismissing them.
Brooke stands up and makes eye contact with Grey, to see him waving her over.
"Nolan" Brooke calls, garnering Nolan's attention.
Nolan turns and follows Brooke to the front.
"Dockery and Nolan. Agent Danvers has a special assignment for you." Grey says.
