From there, Katsuki ignored every sentence that was typed with ease, shoving his phone in his pocket. He continues walking, his thoughts keeping him occupied as he does. If those extras ever met Midoriya, he knows they would have a shit ton to say.
"Bakugou, who is this guy?"
"Look at how wimpy he is, he looks like he's already about to cry!"
"Why are you crying?! We didn't even do anything yet!"
"Come outside and buy us some cigarettes, loser!"
The scenario playing in his head just starts to piss him off, so he forces it away. He picks up the pace, seeing the house up ahead. His heart beats heavily in his chest as he walks to the front door. Shoving the lingering annoyance away, he knocks on the door.
He lifts himself onto the heels of his feet, before dropping back down again. For some dumb fucking reason, the figure in his bag feels like it gained a thousand pounds in the last two seconds.
As his movements continue, he digs his phone out of his pocket, ignoring the messages from the two idiot extras and texting Midoriya that he's outside. Not even a second passes when the word 'read' pops up under the message.
He puts his phone back into his pocket, then his shifting is stopped when his ears pick up on the muffled sounds coming from the other side. Thumping. Katsuki doesn't think much of it at first, but as it continues, his confusion grows.
A yelp even follows one of the thumps, and he lifts his fist to slam it against the door again. It opens before he can touch it, the nerd's eyes meeting his. Katsuki instantly notices the flush on his cheeks and the way his chest is rising and falling like he just ran a fucking marathon.
He pants out, giving him a tired smile,
"H-Hey! I didn't mean to keep you waiting for so long!"
The nerd steps aside to let him in. The warm atmosphere of the house doesn't really catch him off guard anymore, settling into it with ease. Maybe that's what happens when you spend hours taking trash back and forth for an entire day.
"I was standing there for one second, nerd."
As he passes, he notices the scratches on his knees. Midoriya is still trying to catch his breath as he shuts the door, leaning against it with his arms.
"Still! Its-"
He pauses to take a deep breath,
"It's rude to keep someone waiting, even for a second!"
Katsuki raises a brow, his lips turned down a bit, unimpressed. He bets the dweeb saw his life flashing before his eyes as he fell and that's what actually winded him.
"So,"
He points behind him with his thumb, right at the stairs.
"You thought that was a good reason to jump down the stairs like a dumbass?"
If he thought his face was flushed before, it only gets redder when Katsuki speaks, making him grin.
