There are a number of different arcades in the area, if Izuku remembers right. Of course he does, the amount of times he's been dragged to those places are forever engraved in his memory. The cigarettes burned out into his skin before everyone would go inside, the times his head would be slammed against one of the games because he dropped someone's snack on the ground, being cornered in the back so that his friends could take their anger out on him and go back to playing,

"We won't have enough credits to stay all day... Fuckin bastards, they use my arcade card and don't fucking recharge it after their done!"

Katsuki is fuming now, while putting the clean dishes away. Before Izuku can insist that he doesn't need to do any of that, another memory resurfaces.

"Midoriya, you don't do anything anyway, and it's not like you have a life, so this will be safe with you."

A plastic card is shoved into his hand, the edges digging into his skin. Another person sighs, continuing to walk up ahead,

"Are you sure that's a good idea? It's got like, five birthdays worth of cash, dude."

A hand is slammed into his back, forcing him to keep up, despite the shakiness of his legs from having them kicked repeatedly over the last three hours. Even over all of the chatter of everyone else in the group, his words ring in Izuku's ears clearly,

"If you lose this, we'll just search your room for it like last time, so treat it like it's your lifeline."

After dropping out, all of his friends seemed to forget that he had the card, and honestly, he didn't think of it again after locking himself up in his room. He shoved it somewhere in the attic with his notebooks, pencil cases, and his name tag. It's probably still there.

"Um, I might have something we can do!"

Katsuki looks at him, the scowl on his face softening into just a frown.

"What? You got cash?"

Izuku shakes his head, quickly finishing up the dishes, wiping his hands on his shirt and walking to the stairs,

"How long do arcade cards last?"

He hears Katsuki putting the rest of the dishes away before following right behind him as he walks up the stairs.

"Who fucking knows, forever? What arcade is it for?"

Izuku meets his eyes as he tugs the line on the ceiling, carefully leading the folding ladder down.

"I don't remember, but it has a ton of credits on it! Enough to last us the whole day, even a whole week if we go every day."

Katsuki pauses, preoccupied with helping Izuku with the ladder, before glaring at him.

"And you didn't mention this forever ago?! We could have won a thousand fucking tickets by now, nerd!"

Izuku nervously shifts, and hopes that Katsuki doesn't notice it, already going up the ladder.

"I just remembered! It should be in one of the boxes up here, but I don't know which one."

"Whatever, we can find that shit in two seconds flat!"
