He meets Katsuki's eyes, and gives him a smile, his heart slamming into his chest. Why is he staring at him?! Does he have something on his face?! Did the syrup end up dripping onto his shirt?! Is there a stain, is that why?! He's going to say something about it later, why not say something now?!

Izuku makes a self-conscious swipe of his hand over his mouth, finding no syrup, quickly looking at his shirt and seeing nothing. Katsuki is still looking at him, and finally, he looks away, listening to Inko's story about how a coworker cut the fruit all wrong and had them all working an extra hour to try and fix it.

Izuku's face heats up and doesn't cool off the entire time at breakfast. Inko ends up leaving quickly for work, practically skipping out the door.

"Have fun boys! I'll see you later, Izu! Be safe!"

Izuku calls back as he works on picking up all the dirty dishes,

"Love you mom!"

The door shuts, and Katsuki is busy putting any of the leftovers away. Izuku lets out a sigh of relief, relaxing as he focuses on cleaning up the table, the warmth on his face ebbing away.

"So nerd, what do you want to do today? We have to keep practicing getting your ass outside, so we ain't staying inside!"

Izuku's heart still won't slow down. Maybe eating all the honeydew his mom is gonna bring home will help with that? Izuku starts on the dishes, the feeling of the water running down his hands focusing him.

"Right! Um, wherever you want to go works with me!"

Anywhere with not as many people, none preferably, with lit spaces, and corners where Izuku can go and sit alone for a while trying not to let the fact that there are people there sink in and make him throw up all over the place, somewhere that he can easily leave whenever he gets the desire to, which will show up almost immediately, and somewhere that is his room with his bed and his TV and no one else, is really what he wants to say.

But he doesn't, because if he wants to go to the convention, he needs to keep trying his hardest! Even if every time he goes outside, the rush of it all makes him a little dizzy. He thinks of the feeling he gets after going outside, not the feeling of impending doom he gets while doing so.

That feeling is good.

That's a good thing!

Focus on that, Izuku, and not the desire to just curl up and beg Katsuki not to go outside today, because hasn't he already been trying hard enough, and can he just get this one day for a break? The first-year middle schooler in him insists on doing just that, but Izuku wont! Not this time at least.

"The arcade is open till two, we can spend the whole day there, get you used to extras being around!"

Izuku internally screams in fear.
