You were working at the small flower shop in town, arranging a nice bouquet of roses, when the bell on the door rang, announcing a new customer. You looked up and smiled. It was THE boy. He came every Friday, letting you make him a bouquet just as you wanted, chatting casually and then leaving. You assumed the flowers were for his partner and felt a bit jealous. What would you give for someone to bring you flowers every week? He was wearing baggy jeans and a hoodie, and you noticed that he had cut his hair short now. He smiled as he came over to you.
"New haircut?" you asked, setting the bouquet of roses aside.
"You noticed?" he asked, amused.
You couldn't help but want to pinch his cheeks. He was as cute as a puppy. You felt a small throb in your heart. His partner must be so happy to have him... he was literally perfect. Always so polite and very handsome as well.
"Noticed right away," you smiled shyly. "So, what flowers do you want today?"
He seemed to think. "Hmm... what are your favorite?" he asked, interested.
You thought for a moment. "It's a little bit cliché, but I think I have to go with roses... but the pink ones," you smiled.
He smiled back. "Can you make me a bouquet of them? Just how you would like it. I trust you," he said.
You nodded and started heading through the shop, collecting all the flowers you needed.
"Are you working the whole day?" he asked. Some casual small talk. He always did that.
"I'm off at four today," you answered.
"Any plans?" he asked.
You shook your head. "Nah... just heading home I guess," you answered. "Other than you. Is there a special occasion today or are the flowers just because?" you asked.
"Oh... it's kind of special I guess," he smiled.
"Is that so?" you asked, feeling a ping of jealousy. Why couldn't the flowers be for you?
"I'm planning on confessing to someone I really like today," he answered.
You pressed your lips together. Wow... what would you give to be that person. "Making it extra big then, huh?" you fake-smiled and grabbed more flowers. You worked in silence, and as you finally put some nice paper around the bouquet, you showed it to him. It was one of your best works so far, and you really wished to keep it to yourself.
"You like it?" you asked him, still with a little fake smile.
"I love it!" he exclaimed, paying and taking the bouquet. "I guess I'll see you around!" he finally said.
"Uhm...," you started, dying of curiosity.
"Yes?" he asked, stopping in his tracks.
"It's just... you're coming here every week... would it be weird to ask for your name?" you mumbled shyly.
He smiled. "I'm Seungmin," he simply said, already pushing the door open.
"I'm y/n," you answered and couldn't help but smile back. He nodded at you and then left.

The rest of the day was boring. You had nothing to do but think of Seungmin and eventually you had to admit to yourself that you probably had a crush on him. That had to stop. He was obviously taken. Maybe you could swap your shift on Fridays... you walked out of the shop, stopping in your tracks. Seungmin stood in front of it, holding the very same bouquet you made today.
"Seungmin?" you asked, confused.
He smiled shyly and took a step towards you. "Hi, y/n," he said nervously.
"Is something wrong with the bouquet?" you asked, confused.
He stretched it out towards you. "It's for you," he said awkwardly.
You looked at him, confused, but took it from him regardless. "But what happened to the person you wanted to confess to?" you asked quietly. Was he turned down?
He chuckled and scratched the back of his neck. "Actually...," he started, seeming to find the right words, "I come by every Friday just to spend some time with you. I buy flowers so that it's not obvious, but my hyungs told me that if I bring one more expensive bouquet home, they'll kick me out."
You looked at him in disbelief. "You wanted to see me?" you asked, your heart pounding through your chest and your cheeks heating up.
"I'm sorry if that's creepy," he mumbled, a bit ashamed. "But I can't help it... you're just so pretty and I have a little crush on you."
You started smiling immediately. "God, if I only knew... I feel the same, Seungmin. You should've just asked me out! I thought you were taken because you bought all these flowers!" you replied.
He started to smile brighter than the sun. "Well, if you're still free tonight, maybe I could take you out?" he asked.
"I would love to," you whispered, looking at the big bouquet in your hands again. Suddenly all your dreams came true.
