I woke up to sunlight streaming out the hotel window. I sat up in bed, rubbed my eyes, and looked beside me.

There was nothing but empty sheets.

What was he up to? I walked out into the kitchen to find Maxon cooking again. This was not going to end well.

"Good morning, darling." Maxon said cheerfully. He was cooking eggs in a frying pan and hash browns in another. He was doing pretty well.

"Good morning." I said, inspecting the food on the plate he put in front of me. It looked good. "Fried eggs and hash browns?" I asked him.

He flipped one of the eggs in the frying pan. "Oh, these aren't any old fried eggs." Maxon began. "These are Schreave family secret recipe eggs!" he said, gesturing towards my plate, wiggling his eyebrows.

I tried some of one and it was delicious! I moaned a little when I ate it, which made Maxon laugh.

"Where did you learn to cook like this?" I asked, curious. Five days ago, he was a lumpy pancake making, hash brown burning mess.

"Well, I may suck at making pancakes, but eggs are my specialty!" Maxon exclaimed.

"What about the hash browns?" I asked.

"Oh, those are room service. I suck at hash browns." Maxon laughed.

We had breakfast together, then started packing up. We were leaving today, but to where I didn't know.

"Are we taking another plane to our next destination?" I asked, trying to get as much information out of Maxon as possible.

"Nope." Maxon replied, grinning slyly. It wasn't that far from here, then.

"Do we have to go into the crowds?" I complained. I wasn't trying to be a diva or anything, but those crowds were annoying.

"How else are we going to get out?" Maxon questioned, laughing. "Wait!" He said, turning to the window. He walked over and looked out. "There's a fire escape!" Maxon opened the window, climbed out onto the fire escape, and gestured for me to come too.

"Are you sure this won't set an alarm?" I asked, putting one leg on the fire escape.

"Positive. Now grab my hand." I held his hand and we made our way down the fire escape, giggling the whole time. We made it to the ground, and Maxon stopped.

"Our bags." he said, looking up at our hotel window. "I also forgot to check out." I laughed and gave him a peck on the cheek.

"We can get a guard or maid to do it." I said.

We walked to the front of the hotel, where thankfully, no one was there. We got maids to grab our bags and check us out while we hid behind an umbrella, walking down the streets.

We got our bags and got into a car that was taking us somewhere.

"Where are we going?" I asked. Maxon hesitated, thinking if he should tell me.

"King's Cross." Maxon replied. I was stumped. I had no idea what King's Cross was. I groaned and slumped down in my seat.

Maxon grinned triumphantly, then gave me a kiss. I kissed back, and his hands were running through my hair. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him closer. The car stopped, and we stopped kissing.

We got out of the car and there was a train station in front of us.

"We're taking a train!" I exclaimed. We got our bags and made our way through the crowds, keeping low profiles.

We got onto our train and into our very own compartment. We closed the door and shut the blinds for some privacy.

I had never been on a train before, and it looked like Maxon hadn't either. The train started going, and I could feel it picking up speed. Once we were at a steady speed, a lady with a cart came walking down the train to sell drinks and snacks.
