tabitha walked through the doors of west valley high school for the first time in a month. once she made her way through the security checkpoint, the first thing she saw was a bright yellow sign that she assumed was for miguel. a lot of eyes were on her, glaring at her and looking down on her.
but she didn't care. because just as he promised, hawk was waiting for the girl by the front entrance. he gave her a quick embrace as a greeting . "glad to finally have you back."
"i know you are." she shrugged. "where's my welcome back sign?"
"those who nearly get sent to juvie don't typically have welcome back sign privileges." he told her. "let me show you to your locker."
"if it's the same one from last time then i'm pretty sure i'll be okay." tabitha told him.
hawk rolled his eyes at her before glancing over and seeing miguel walk over to them. he grinned. "el serpiente!"
"what's up?" miguel questioned as they shook hands and embraced one another. "welcome back, man." hawk spoke, pulling away.
miguel's eyes shifted to tabitha and he smiled. "hey tabby." he leaned over and gently pressed his lips on her cheek.
"hi." she grinned. "it's good to see you back on your feet."
"yeah, it feels good to be back." he nodded.
"did they give you bionic legs or some shit like that?" hawk questioned.
"no, same old boring human legs." miguel joked.
"oh, yeah? can you throw down?" hawk taunted, jokingly punching him in the shoulder. "gotta defend that title. you gotta get through me first."
"you?" tabitha scoffed, not even remembering miguel was present. "i absolutely kicked your ass last session." miguel frowned at her words, completely confused.
"i let you off easy." hawk nudged her. tabitha grinned, "oh yeah? you down for round two, baby?" she questioned, lightly bouncing on her feet.
"wait, you're still in cobra kai?" miguel asked. she hadn't mentioned it once in their multiple hangouts.
"i hate to admit it but she has been kicking ass." hawk spoke up. "even after her seizure—" he was cut off by tabitha striking his arm and giving him a warning look.
