Note: We're close to epilogue. It'll be published in two parts. Epilogue 1 and 2. And now, as we inch closer to wrapping up The Scent and The Shadow, I need you to help me by answering a few questions. You guys know I do not nag you for comments/likes/following me on any platform because while I would love that kind of support from you, that's not my primary goal of being here and risking my hard work on this platform. The only reason I returned here despite many threats lingering out here of my work getting plagiarized was to give you the story you'd be invested in for so long and get your feedback so I can get it right. Anyway, enough of the yapping. I just need you to help me with what helps me the most - your honest, unfiltered feedback because that helps me grow.
Tell me your thoughts on:
1. Areston's character arc and growth throughout the story so far.
2. Juliette's character arc and growth throughout the story so far.
3. The arc of all the characters so far from siren to shadow.
4. The arc and growth of this story so far from siren to shadow.
The more people answer, the better I will feel about investing my time here. This is in no way a forced act/blackmail/or whatever. Just a small author trying to get a feedback on a work she slogs super hard to produce. I appreciate all the support and I am deeply grateful. Thank you.
TIA!

I wake up, nonplussed, my eyes fighting to adjust the light as they open. The high and arched ceiling above me is an elaborate affair with a grand chandelier whose opulent radiance is illuminating the overwhelming grandeur of the place.
My mind races as I try to piece together how I ended up here. The gala, hanging out at Dorrian's with Selene and Claire, drinking and dancing the whole night at Selene's place, and now waking up in this entirely new place.
I blink as I try to take in the surroundings. The walls lined with polished wood paneling frame the broad floor-length windows in curved style offering sweeping views of the panoramic sky and the endless sea outside.
I am on a yacht!
"So, did you do any ogre dance moves last night, or is it still for my eyes only?" The deep, gravelly husk, so innately carnal, jolts all my senses awake, and I turn, my heart flipping as I turn to my side to see Areston, stretched beside me, his body facing me.
