A/N continuing on the morning after from the final chapter of Marjoreece - Date Night

They'd had their first midwife appointment and answered all her questions, and had all the relevant tests. Marjorie was guessing she was around 8-9 weeks by now, but they'd find out more when they went for their first scan in a few weeks' time. Reece was still as excited as a kid at Christmas and had been even more protective and attentive to Marjorie over the last couple of weeks. She was worried his behaviour was actually going to give the game away rather than hers. Knowing how easily Charlotte had figured out Autumn was pregnant, she was really trying not to do anything that might give the game away.

She got home from work exhausted and flopped down on the sofa next to Reece. "You OK gorgeous?" He asked, pulling her in for a hug.

"Yea, just a stressful day, and I'm knackered." She replied through a sigh.

Reece moved slightly, so he had easier access, then started rubbing Marjories shoulders. She let out a soft moan as he did and let herself just relax into his touch.

"How was your day anyway, Reece? Did you have to deal with as many difficult parents as me?"

"No, the parents were on their best behaviour. I've spent most of my day on the phone with solicitors. Our offer's been accepted, and the current owners want a quick sale, so if you're happy with it, we can move within the month."

Marjorie sat up and turned to face Reece. "Are you serious?"

"Yep. I said I needed to OK it with you, and I'd get back to them tomorrow. The people buying this place are happy with it as well as long as we are. There's no chain on either side, so there's no one else to try and organise timings with."

Marjorie leant in and kissed him. "Omg, that's amazing!!! That means we can be in and settled easily before this little one arrives, and we'll be moving and sorting everything before I'm too big to help or you know.... move."

"I'll call tomorrow and give the go-ahead. We can probably be in before the first scan at this rate. You're not helping, though. I'm not letting you do anything that puts you at risk."

"Reece, I don't think moving a few boxes is gonna hurt."

"Not taking any chances gorgeous." He said, kissing her. "I've been thinking about something, though. Separate from moving and everything... How do we tell Aut? I really want her to be the first to know, and if it wasn't for what she'd been through, I probably would have told her by now. What do we do? I don't want to hurt her, but she'll have to find out. I just don't want to bring everything back."

Marjorie looked at Reece and could see the pain in his eyes. She could tell he wanted to share this with his sister so badly, but was worried it would do more harm than good. "Reece, we're going to have to tell them at some point regardless, and we need to tell them separately from everyone else so they can come to terms with it in their own time. Do you want to do it alone or do you want me there?"

"I think I need to do it alone. Actually, I don't think I can keep torturing myself like this. Are you OK if I go over there now?"

"Of course, my love, whatever you need to do."

Reece got in his car and headed to his sisters. He gave himself a mini pep talk in the car before getting out and knocking on Autumn and Winter's front door. Winter answered. "Reece, this is a surprise. Is everything OK?"

"Hi Winter, yea, yea, everything's fine. I just really need to speak to Aut, well, both of you, really, I guess."

Winter looked up at Reece and could see how stressed he was. The way he was acting and the fact he was alone made Winter worry something had happened between Reece and Marjorie. Autumn had spoken to him about never having seen her brother so happy as he was with Marjorie and about how she worried about how he would cope if anything ever happened. "Of course, come in. My sweet." He called in to Autumn, "Your brother's here." He moved aside and let Reece walk in as Autumn walked out of the lounge.
